Tes, needed to see this ‘live’. Wasn’t sure if it will stay up. Went to sleep after it till now. Now it’s time to wake Emma, get some breakfast and to go to school. Hope I can see sunset at the same way, and do it all over tonight with everyone who couldn’t watch it ‘live’.

I've had cat emergencies today.. had my kitten at the vet so was unable to watch it. But I am now watching the Sunrise. Whilst my cat sits behind me totally stoned! They gave him a painkiller and he is just staring at things with huge eyes.
I haven't even heard the album yet!! Not all the way through. I have just been driving and racing about. Came home from work to take my cat to the vets. I am so glad it's Friday.

The Arabesque live performance is unbelievable! I can see them opening the Grammys with it if ever invited.

Row, is your cat okay?? I've had three vet visits this year (since I now have three cats) but they were all basically routine.
The timing on these YouTube airings couldn't have been more perfect for me. Jeremy and I watched Sunrise last night, I thought it was really beautiful. I watched Sunset this morning literally before getting out of bed to get ready for work. It felt rushed to me but I'll have to watch it again.
Love our boys.

Thanks Cathy, I hope so, its my youngest, Burt. The troublemaker. He was off his food and feeling sick. They thought at first it might be a blockage, maybe he'd eaten something. But now we aren't so sure. He's been given painkillers, as I said above, and I am now cooking him fish.. well all of them. It's like a flash mob in my kitchen at the moment LOL!
Sorry for hijacking the thread about my cat.

Hope your kitty is ok Row. I've had a mad day, but managed to listen through the album once and watched both sunrise/sunset now. So much love for our boys 😍. Orphans was just joyous!

Hope Burt is okay, Row! I've finally gotten to watch the concerts, and I'm SO happy to see the boys again! It brings back all of the butterflies, and it's about time! I was jotting down some random thoughts while watching, but I'll put them in a spoiler in case you don't care. SUNRISE I love how Chris kissed the ground I love Davide's strings in the beginning. So, so, so pretty.
Church: This song really reached out and grabbed me. I'm a sucker for cool chord changes, and I really love this song.
Trouble in Town: Another great song. I loved Jonny's guitar parts and how the song builds and builds.
Awww, Chris' little dances in between.
Broken: Chris seemed really happy singing with the gospel singers judging by that smile on his face.
There goes Chris drinking some of his many concoctions!
Daddy: Beautiful piano and chord changes. It's sad sounding, but when Will came in on his little Shroeder sounding piano, it made me smile.
WOTW/POTP: I didn't write much about this song except 'cute banter' but I'll have to go back and see what I meant, haha.
Arabesque: I wondered how this would sound live, but it was so good. The sax parts were unbelievable, and it's so good to see Chris and Jonny side by side again. And go Jonny! He was really moving during this song!
I hear some more speech parts like we had during AHFOD
When I Need a Friend: This was a sweet song, and it had another church/church choir sound to it.
SUNSET Bye Bye suits
Guns: I wasn't sure what to think based on the snipet posted online, but I love lots of guitars and the message was strong. And you gotta love when Chris yells "Stop!"
Orphans: I've loved it since I first heard it, and you can see the happiness plastered all over Chris' face when he sings it. It's so upbeat, and I love how happy the people were in it and the fact they were wearing love buttons.
There's my "Thank you everybody!"
EKO: I think this one might be a grower on me.
Cry Cry Cry: This had a 50's do-wop feeling to it for me and visions of the Pips standing in the back snapping their fingers popped into my head, haha. It felt good though!
Old Friends: Awwwww, C&J!! Beautiful song and love the '42' sweater, Chris
Weird Named Song, haha: Piano! Have we had such a beautiful solo on piano since Postcards? I love the involvement from the community that they've pulled in to the show.
More AHFOD-type speeches.
Champion of the World: I think this one is more main stream, and I can def see it being played live. (sniff, sniff) It was sweet of Chris to kneel at the strings (I love strings, they are so pretty) when they came in.
Everyday Life: I adore this song. If you haven't watched the interview I posted in the Everyday Life main thread, Will talks about how he and his wife sang on this song. Beautiful song.
FINAL THOUGHTS These are jumbled, incomplete thoughts as I need to go back and listen again and again, and I'm sure some of my original thoughts will expand or even change, but one thing that wont' change is how freakin' happy I am to see them back! There are songs I really love on these albums. Thank you, Phil, because I'm sure you had a lot to do with this concept which was so cool. I loved the different sides and how they played them at sunrise and sunset. Did anyone notice all of the 'flying birds' shots? What are your thoughts?
And if you stuck around this far, thanks! haha

Row, hope your kitty is on the mend. I’m at a conference for work this week in Baltimore, MD and I watched Sunrise and then skipped a morning meeting to watch Sunset. I was moved to tears twice. I can’t put it into words, but I was affected in a profound way.

Thank you, he is a lot better.
I sat down the other evening and watched both sunrise and sunset on my big TV. It was practically perfect, watching the sun coming up.. so beautiful. I loved that they had strings, and horns and other singers. It makes it feel more live somehow if that makes sense?
