Like Row suggested, a movie thread. Always wanted to go to that one particular movie, but no one wnats to come with you? We are here! We can't go physically together, but we can go to the same movie and share our experiences and opninions.
So, what kind of movies do you like? And which movie do you want to go and nobody wants to come?

Yay! Movie thread. I am a movie junkie. Don't judge, but the best movie I saw over the summer was 22 Jump Street--laugh out loud funny. I like all kinds of movies, I tend to like movies where people speak to each other rather than having explosions all over the place.

Good thread! May I use it to ask for some recommendations? I have two gift cards for movie tickets that expire in ten days. Would like to see something, but what?? I made a list of movies that are available now and look interesting, if you have seen any I'd be interested in your opinion/recommendation. Dallas Buyers Club Still life La Grande Bellezza The Grand Budapest Hotel Invisible woman Die andere heimat (4 hours!) Tracks Frank (?) Lego Begin again Maleficent (?)
I don't watch movies often, I like LOTR, drama rather than comedy. Never go to movies like Guardians of the galaxy, so that could be a new take if you recommend it highly Oh and if you want to see one of the above and have my "company", it's a date!

The hub and I see a ton of movies. The latest we saw is "Lucy." I'm not sure what to make of it. If you live with scientific/analytical people like I do, it's not as much fun because they can pick it apart, haha, but all in all, it was stranger than I thought it would be, and I didn't like the ending very well, even though I do like a good sci-fi flick. Anybody else see it?
Okay, Carina, I've seen Dallas Buyers Club, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Lego Movie and Maleficent of those you listed.
Dallas Buyers Club has a disturbing edge to it because of the subject matter, but it's well made and the acting is great. I give it 3/5 stars.
Maleficent has a twist to the story that's not your traditional take on Sleeping Beauty and Angelina Jolie does a pretty good job in it. I give it 2/5 stars.
The Lego Movie is so cute and entertaining. Batman was hilarious. I give it 4/5.
The Grand Budapest Hotel is the best of the bunch to me. It was kind of quirky and unique but totally hilarious to me. I might have a unique sense of humor, but it was great, and the acting is wonderful. I give it 4.5/5.

Very useful, thank you! I haven't heard of Lucy, it takes time for new movies to get here sometimes.

Not heard of Lucy yet either. We saw the planet if the apes movie on Saturday. Which was actually quite good I enjoyed it a lot. The apes are so real, it's amazing to think they're cgi.
I haven't seen any if the above either, but I'd like to see more movies. So you choose one carina and I'll try and go to it too

I saw "Planet of the Apes" as well, and they did a really good job with the production and the apes. I think it was well worth the price of a ticket.

That's not really my kind of movies. I enjoy more like LOTR, detectives (Da Vinci Code), romance and comedy... I have to take a look about what's in the cinema right now. Blended looks like fun. Owh, and in August I am going to an open air movie festival with people from work. And we are going to see the Hunger Games: Catching fire. And guess who performed one of the soundtracks?

We know who! I liked Hunger Games okay, but I was anticipating the final song too much to really, really enjoy the movie. There's one little bit of music in the film that is also theirs.

Hunger Games was okay. I also went mainly for the music, ha! I make sure that I see all kinds of movies, with the exception of slasher films or horror. I find real life scary enough so I don't really need these. The hub loves them but has to take his brother with him, or our oldest son.

I like smart horror films, hubby really loves the Paranormal Activity movies, my fave "horror" (though it's not really) film is "Seven."

I don't like Horror either, too much for me. I do love a good ghost Story though. Don't mind a bit of spine tingling, provided nobody gets eaten, torn to shreds or mangled on screen! I did love 'The Others' with Nicole Kidman, a very clever movie, however I went to see The Blair Witch project when all the hype surrounded it.. and in my opinion it was rubbish! Basically three teenagers with a video camera in a tent.. that's about it. LOL.
I would like to see Guardians of The Galaxy when it comes out real escapism, and I liked the Avengers movies too.
My favourite type of movie though is something that takes you on an adventure, excites, you and makes you think. When you leave the cinema thinking about it and wondering.
