Yep! That's my goal. But I'm also working on a jazz album and an electronic / alternative album at the moment.

Here's a short thing I did today. I've wanted to record this for a while. I'm probably going to re-record it though for my album version. The Escapist represents my entire life, so it has a lot of emotion attached to it. clyp.it/zz5jk2qm

Hey guys! Hope you're having a good year so far. So I'm in the process of two albums right now, both sounding amazing, but I'm also working on a film scoring portfolio, so here is one of the projects I did last semester. I have a few more from then and a few more coming up.
It also has a link in the description to the soundtrack on Soundcloud.

I don't know if I've already shared this with y'all, cause I've had this song in my head for 2 years now. This is the third song off the album. In the process of recording this, vocals and all. Never Had Much Faith [Verse 1] Visions of the past Taking over control My love would never last So I'd carry on, on my own [Verse 2] There's a certain kind of control, My heart has on my mind. And a certain kind of war, That's going on inside. [Build] But I'm here tonight, And lost in reverie. [Chorus] Never had much faith in love, But here I'm going in again, Never had the strength above me, But I don't wanna give in. Maybe I should speak aloud, Say you're the one that's on my mind. Maybe I should call it love, And let the rest evolve in time. [Bridge/Break] I saw her standing by my side, Found myself turning away, To close my eyes. [Chorus] Never had much faith in love, But here I'm going in again, Never had the strength above me, But I don't wanna give in. Maybe I should speak aloud, Say you're the one that's on my mind. Maybe I should call it love, And let the rest evolve in time.

Yeah that's pretty close to my interpretation of it. You could interpret it in many different ways.
I basically use numbers as a metaphor for all the things in life that we have created meaning for, things like money, dates on the calendar, time, relationships with people, history, that we have hammered into society but have now lost meaning (like if you were to repeat a word, after a while it would lose its luster). If you think about it, everything we know is built upon what our senses and our mind have convinced us of (existentialism :P). I believe that freedom is continually searching for mystery, the unknown, the space between the numbers, the silence between all the noise, the rare moment in a sea of time, things our mind cannot convince us of. This is what gives life its meaning.

Hey ya'll I'm back! Just wrote this song today, originally inspired by the sincerity of folk music and Bon Iver in particular. Lyrics are inspired by existentialism, which I tend to write about a lot. I recorded a demo for you guys to listen to and maybe give some suggestions for lyrics. Chord progression is pretty much set but the lyrics were written to have multiple meanings so it would be helpful if you guys told me what you thought the lyrics meant to you to help me clarify what I've written and to make it as concise and powerful a message as possible. I could completely change up the lyrics but generally the theme of the title should be kept. Beware, rough demo: vocaroo.com/i/s0XW9B8nLB3NThe Numbers GameSometimes I get this feeling, A feeling that I can't explain There's a black hole inside of me, Without which I'd go insane I see beyond the doorway, Hear the silence as it speaks Nothing's ever been the same. Life is just a numbers game. What is time in a mind? Circle, line, by design? What is in a moment? Never ahead, never behind. Stuck behind one lens With empty connections Frames of a mirror And midnight reflections We don't take the time To think beyond ourselves. Maybe freedom is not knowing, What gave chaos a name Freedom is the search for mystery The numbers will never explain.

Excited to hear where this album takes you, Keaton I myself am in the process of finishing two different albums, one for my band and one that I am finishing myself. But on the side I am also working on scoring for films, and this was a fun side project I did yesterday. If you like Stranger Things, you will recognize this.

The full band instrumentals sound awesome. So at the moment I'm working on a full-length album, "Flight". I'm at the midpoint of a few songs right now and they're all very different sounding, so that's great. I may or may not decide to give you guys a preview....hehe But up till then, I'm still really happy with the first single off the album. The single and B-side (which I also love) can be heard here. Another Dawn (Single) 1. Another Dawn (feat. Tanksley) 2. Follow Me Home 3. Another Dawn (Instrumental)

Wow amazing Keaton. Keep striving for that one song that you will never stop being proud of and that others will never be able to stop listening to.
