I've actually got a new song that I just thought of yesterday. I'm not posting it officially but I've recorded a very basic (unedited) version of it and I'd like you guys to hear it. I'll post it in a few hours.

Well I have a plan to get an internship in either Los Angeles or New York City, and my professors are extremely helpful because they have connections. I want to be a composer / producer in the industry. I'm not sure I would fit necessarily with popular artists in the limelight, but I might be the extremely passionate musician behind the scenes (making music for movies, composing stuff for other people, etc). I can perform, but I'm not the most talented performer of Western music, like on piano or guitar. I can play those pretty well but not at performing level. I perform classical South Indian music on the keyboard.
I'm a little more comfortable being a producer behind a sound board, and that profession is a little more secure than a performing artist. I'd love to be a performing artist or in a band composing my own music, but it's more difficult financially. So I'm going to enter the industry as a producer / sound engineer and make my way from there. It's great because I can be a passionate, creative person without the crazy amount of financial uncertainty that comes with being a musician.

Thank you guys for the encouragement. I'm really excited for the next few years of music for me. Hoping with all my heart that I get a position in the industry and am able to keep and expand my creativity.
I truly believe Beyond the Stars is one of my best works so far. It's ironic how it sounds like it came from Interstellar when I wrote the song before I even saw the movie. Anyways, it's a pretty epic soundtrack and I've even impressed myself.
Thanks for listening, and much, much more to come very soon.

Well you're in luck, because I have something that I'm almost finished with (I actually have a lot of stuff I'm working on at the same time) and I have a snippet of it for you. It's inspired by Hans Zimmer and sci-fi movie soundtracks like Avengers, etc.

I love seeing other people's work. It's been a while since I posted on these forums, but I'm studying music in college so I figured I could share some of my work with all you wonderful people. It would help to have a few awesome fans. I'm going to post some of my links here if that's ok: YouTubeSoundCloudFacebook PageBandcampHere's one new song in particular on SoundCloud I like. Wow amazing to hear these songs! I've been practicing guitar and I hope to get good enough that I can start composing music on guitar rather than just on my keyboard.

Ok so this is inspired by my shyness, and talks of breaking out of my shell. This is still subject to change, because I just wrote it yesterday.
Rocket
I used to search for love, With my mind but not my heart. I used to feel the hurt, From tearing myself apart.
But now I've finally broken free, From those shackles I placed upon myself.
I could see so clearly, Every obstacle in front of me. But now they're just clouds, In a sky full of stars.
And I am a rocket, Waiting to blast off into space.

Here' s a song that may or may not be recorded with lyrics. But these are the lyrics thought out to accompany the song.
It is slated to be the concluding song on the album I am planning to finish sometime in the next year. It is very similar to The Escapist in style and in the fact that the album begins and ends with this melody.
Chords Looping: G, Bb (6/4 inversion) Bridge/Chorus: G, Bm (6/3 inversion), B (6/3), FM7, Eb(6/3), D(6/3), Fm, Dm7, F, Ddim7, then return to G and loop.
Exit And in the end of every life, You see them rising, glowing sparks. In every day a heavy heart. Gloomy, dark. The grimness only comes and fades, Yet dim light shines still today.

Here are some old lyrics..
After Dark ( Lyric Version ) [Instrumental Intro]
[Verse 1] In the night, we hear them whispering. They sing of our glory days. Right now the sun has set, oh On times we won't forget, oh
[Verse 2] And after dark, we will see the spark Of everyone who faded away. From this light, we can build a bridge And turn this wicked night into day.
And after dark, we will see the spark Of everyone who faded away.
[Bridge] If we fall from this shadowy sky, Then we'll burst into pieces and die.
[Back to Verse 1] At night, we hear them whispering. They sing of our glory days. Right now the sun has set, oh On times we won't forget, oh
[Instrumental Outro]

Wow how long does it take you guys to write these out? It just seems like you're spitting out new songs / lyrics every few hours! I haven't had the time to do any of that, but I do have a few new songs that are in progress. I could show you but i don't have time to record them.
