Well, SNL is certainly ramping things up for ratings, they are going live in all timezones (though maybe not for the Louis CK show, Leann, correct me if I'm wrong), and Chris is a friend of the show, they've put him in sketches and they have NEVER made fun of him or done an impression of him. I think **crosses fingers** he is the Chainsmokers' guest singer, like Lorde was a couple of seasons ago for Disclosure. Yeah the live coast-to-coast shows don't start until the next week, April 15. But having big draws like Louis C.K./Chainsmokers/and hopefully CP seem to be a lead up the ratings blitz, at least.

The Chainsmokers were on Howard Stern, and it's cute what they have to say about him. The Chainsmokers Talk About Chris on Howard Stern
(The SoundCloud link on working with Chris is down the page a bit. I wish I knew how to embed a SoundCloud video at the moment!)

Cute story! "Something Just Like" a #1: The Chainsmokers & Coldplay dethrone Ed Sheeran after 24 weeksPosted on 10/10/2017 5:00 AM
Disruptor/ColumbiaThe Chainsmokers and Coldplay make a pretty unbeatable team. The Grammy-winning duo has just topped Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart with "Something Just Like This," their collaboration with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. In doing so, they've managed to dethrone Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You," which has spent a whopping 24 weeks at #1. The collaboration between the two acts was extremely unexpected, as The Chainsmokers' Drew Taggart tells ABC Radio. "We heard from our manager who, I guess, was in touch with Coldplay's manager, that they listened to our songs before they went onstage," says Drew. "So we reached out and said, 'Hey would you ever wanna do something together?' and they called us one day and said, 'Hey, what are you doing tomorrow afternoon? Chris wants to get in the studio.'" The three musicians did indeed get together in the studio and, as Drew explains, Chris Martin came up with the song in an unusual way. "We played through a buncha stuff we had sitting on our computer...and eventually came up with the riff that is 'Something Just Like This.' And Chris was like, 'This is it!' [He] plugs a mic into the PA and dances around the studio for, like, two hours, mumbling and...the song just came out." If that sounds simplistic, The Chainsmokers say Chris believes songs come to him from a higher place. "Chris says that songs are sent down and he has to be ready to receive them," says Drew. His band mate Alex Pall laughs, "Thank God we were there for that!" This is Coldplay's second #1 on the chart: the first was "Viva La Vida" in 2009. It's The Chainsmokers' first #1 on this particular chart: they previously reached #8 with their hit, "Closer." link
