I can confirm that DC was AMAZING! During HP, right at the beginning of the show, when the lights were sparkling and the confetti was raining, I had this overwhelming sense that I'd stepped into an alternate universe. It was profoundly beautiful and emotional and I cried. I can't describe it.
It was HOT as hell, though!
And my ears were definitely NOT ok after H.E.R. They were LOUD!

The traffic was horrendous! I've been to FedEx Field before, and plenty of other stadiums, and I'm not sure what was happening this time, but the traffic was at a standstill, then it was painful inching toward the stadium that took FOREVER. We left to get there in plenty of time, and I was thanking the stars that shine for me above because I was afraid we were going to be late. Afterwards, it was torture getting out as well, but at least I didn't have a show that I was panicked about being late to.

We got there during H.E.R. due to the wonderful traffic, and I volunteered to be the one to get drinks and such because I couldn't sit there for it! And like my other post said, yes, it was hot! Chris commented onstage about both the heat and the traffic. I had confetti stuck all over me because of the humidity.

We thankfully bypassed the bad traffic. We stayed at a nearby hotel and there was a shuttle service to/from the concert. Cost us $60, but we were in and out of that stadium in no time flat (due to dedicated lanes for buses). I am thankful, because I saw that traffic mess as I came in. It looked horrendous. I'm so glad they delayed the show to let more people get there.

Hi! Did you knew this? My son, hubby and 2 friend got blue bands this morning. They where amongst the first 40 ‘early show-up’ people at the gate in Paris. They are allowed to enter the stadion 1 hour earlier, through a special gate, and until then, they can visit Paris! So no long day waiting in line!! I am not with them: I had ticket for Paris, but I am sick at home🤒 now another friend can join the gig tonight🍀

So, saw two fabulous concerts at the weekend. Unfortunately I have a cold now, the heat and lack of sleep apparentlx got me in the end :( Will try to post pics later when I am better. My cold turned out to be COVID after all... I was really sick and still am not fully recovered but at least my test is negative now and I don't sleep for 12 hours anymore. After more than two years of escaping the virus I had thought I may be one of the lucky ones who does not get symptoms. Well, I guess I was wrong :( Anyway, the concerts in Frankfurt were amazing, I am sure you have all seen enough videos by now. Magic in German was hilarious. The organisation though was awful - the first day we queued at entrance E5 as all the security said that was the only one we could enter. Once in, there were 4 entrances for GA BUT they had closed the first three so from E we had to walk once COMPLETELY round the stadium to the 4th entrance which was right next to were we originally came in. The whole way was flanked by securities with megaphones who shouted at us to continue walking and good laughed at us all the way. All that in the heat was very annoying to say the least. Everybody was p*ssed really and I have to say the venue got lucky that nobody fell or got hurt. Also, there were so many Early Entry tickets that first row was already taken. I am not good at guessing but they were all led past our queue and the others guessed / counted about a 1000. We still made it to second row at B-Stage (well I only made it thanks to the long legs of my friends). Strangely enough the next day there were much less Early Entry tickets - I have no idea how they planned it all. And we queued at Entrance E3 though it almost took two hours for us to find it - it can only be reached via a bridge and was kind of a "secret" entrance. But that was much better, we only had a short way to the 4th entrance and were long in before those who had queued at E 5 even reached the entrance as they had to go round the whole stadium. So we had a leisurely stroll to first row at the B-stage. We "adopted" three newbies and are still in contact with two of them via Whats app. One has spontaneously decided to join us in Brussels as well. They are well an truly hooked As to the concerts: they were great as always and addictive I love how happy the whole band seems to be nowadays and it was so great to hear Politik again and In My Place. From the new songs People of The Pride is my favourite, I cannot get enough. On a side note, it was also good to see all the familiar faces of the crew, it maked me very happy to see that the band kept them all during COVID. The installed cameras e.g. are now automatic but the same camera man is still there Now I hope I will be well enough for Brussels and Wembley!

Noooo, I'm sorry about the covid, and I'm sorry you were so sick. (And I'm sorry you missed your show altogether Anita!) I hope you continue to get better and can make any more shows you want to attend.
I, too, got covid in May after attending our first social event in 2.5 years - my son's wedding. Truly, we were those people that avoided restaurants, avoided going anywhere pretty much unless we absolutely had to and then made sure we wore masks, didn't have our big holiday gatherings, etc., then bam, about 10 of us got it. My side of the family all tested negative the day before the wedding, and I'm pretty sure I know where it came from, but some people don't test, so we'll never know for sure. Luckily, mine felt like a sinus infection, and it was fairly short lived.
I love hearing everyone's show stories!! And I know it's been hot for you as well!
Keep 'em coming!

I wanted to hop on and share my experience from the Paris show on 7/17. I spent the entire month of July in London, with that one hop over to Paris for the weekend. I got Covid early into my London trip so I was out of quarantine by the time I went to Paris, but I still wasn't feeling the best and had that awful lingering cough. I had a standing ticket for the show and of course I wanted to get there as early as I could, but I only had those two days in Paris (first time there) and wanted to at least see a few things.
Went to the Louvre that morning (breathtaking) and did a fair bit of walking before I even went to Stade de France. I made all kinds of mistakes getting to the venue. I didn't realize how much the subway line I took would impact my experience. I ended up quite a ways from the stadium and once I got there (after trudging through the hot sun), I realized I was all the way on the WRONG side of the stadium for my entry gate. I walked all the way over to my gate, which happened to be the hottest side of the stadium and stayed in the sun the longest. I stood there for an hour (got there around 4) before I could get into the venue. Went as fast as my worn out legs would take me but didn't get a very good standing position. I mean, it was ok for not getting there until 4, but I would have enjoyed being closer. After I got in my spot I was too worried to leave it to get a drink or go to the bathroom so I was rooted to that spot for hours upon hours. I normally sit in the stands, so I'm not sure if this is normal, but I found people to be quite rude about pushing in front and not respecting those who had gotten to the venue earlier. I was disheartened by that.
One thing I learned for sure is that I'm not cut out for standing tickets anymore. LOL. I got so tired, hot, thirsty, etc. waiting the 5 hours for Coldplay to take the stage.
Once they did, it was magic, as you all know. Danced and sang my heart out and felt so happy and fortunate to be there. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
After the show ended, I didn't really know how to get out of there so I got swept up in a massive sea of people trying to get to one of the only subway stations still operating. It was hours packed into a crowd of people moving one inch at a time. I wasn't sure my legs were going to last. I was really dehydrated. It took 2.5 hours to get back to my hotel, which was only about a 20 minute ride from the stadium.
I had to be back up and at Gare du Nord train station early that morning to go back to London, which then began the two hottest days in London's history.
It was an ADVENTURE to say the least. Thrilled beyond measure to have been there, but man oh man, it was hard on me.
