I didn't even think about the cheating aspect.
Starting with the "ghostly" music on it was pretty clear to me that it was one partner singing about another partner they could no longer physically embrace or be near - and hence the significance of 'your body on my body' - isn't that connection the one a ghost would miss the most?

Jonny's solo is breathtaking! Torturing us for TWO MONTHS to hear the album version is seriously unfair.
Also I think he is singing about someone who's passed away.

I LOVE that suggestion. It fits perfectly with the mournful song. I really do love this song. I wish it was May..

I initially thought it was about cheating as well (because of the 'body' bits) but it's more likely to be about someone who has moved on, one way or another.

The more I listen , the more silly I feel for thinking it was about cheating. It was a snap reaction for me.. I'm leaning towards the "ghost" theory for sure now.

I don't really know what to think about this song. Those angel voices and Jonny's solo are unbeliavable. But still I don't get the feeling that I get from other coldplay songs. I certainly need to hear the album version before judging it any more

It reminds me of the film Ghost. There's a scene when Patrick Swayze's character pushes a photo of himself. Which is like the picture line Chris sings. I think. Or I might be going crazy! Anyway, I don't think it's about cheating. I can't imagine Chris would want to write a song about that whether it's true or not (and I'm thinking not! ).

I agree, I think it's the same sort of story going on. So looking forward to finding out!

The song makes me think Mila Fürstová probably heard the entire album before designing the cover. They couldn't have chosen a more beautiful suitable cover in my opinion.

When I read the titles the first time I thought this would have been a song about cheating of course when I think about Chris cheating I just, always, think about Jonny I'm not sure about the death theme, still I think it's about internal ghosts, people's demons, you know... Anyway I like it very much, this one and Midnight are my favorites

I agree that there will be a story involved, and the wait for it will be both fun and difficult!

Mila was invited by the band to create the album art in January 2013 and she said in a statement that the art was created alongside the music she was given access to. There was a statement she released when the album was announced saying words to that effect but I can't seem to find it.
