{Spoiler} well my thoughts are that given how hard Chris was trying to save his marriage during the MX era, that he stopped it. Either deliberately, so that she had nothing to complain about, or he just wasn't as happy, therefore it wasn't as spontaneous.

As I say, just my thoughts, it may or may not be the reason. :dunno:

Yes I agree, the MX gig was fantastic but it did lack the fun they had on the Viva tour
He was really making an effort, all the call-outs dedicating Yellow to his lovely wife! You can see how much happier he is now, but we were all unaware at the time, and maybe that solves the tattoo mystery...a bit drastic possibly, totally obliterating the G with a black heart...then replacing it, but Chris is a guy that does things to the extreme

Anyway those days are done...Welcome back the happy funny quirky Chris and to lots more Buckin!!!

Yes, the obvious and sudden appearance of GP's name in the gigs, the dedications, the running through the crowds to her, etc. was all so questionable. However, dummy me, even though it was weird and we discussed it, I still thought, "Wow, they are so happy! He is evidently getting over not being seen with her in public. Awww, how sweet!" Yeah.
