It feels like were going back to the bad old days, I feel this vote was based on racism, all that was spouting from the Leave campaign was immigration....otherwise known as 'we don't want THEM over here'
the world had moved on so much from this kind of thinking, such a shame
things are going to get bad over here for quite a while because of all the uncertainty but I'll just Keep Calm and listen to Coldplay

Possibly. Or a chance to do better if we can. What will Scotland do now.. and then Northern Ireland.. and Ireland. I still don't want to believe the UK really will leave, not yet. So sad. Is there much demand for a referendum in Germany? There's not here yet but we're tiny fish in this pond. Looking forward to the Dutch broadcast tonight, some Coldplay will be good  A very small minority has mentioned the possibility for a referendum in Germany but I think it is not going to happen. The people here were not asked if they wanted the Euro money back then and they will not be asked to vote for or against the EU. Germans never had a chance to directly decide over more complex topics (in contrast to Switzerland for instance) and I guess that won't change. Maybe Germany found the clue: don't ask the people. No but to be serious, I didn't know referendums are so rare there. Thought you had them. I had to check the result from when we voted on entering the EU in 1994. Almost the same numbers as UK's result now, but the opposite result: 52 % yes, 47 % no. It could have gone either way. |

OMG! Boris Johnson is Trumps doppelganger! I wish I could post pictures side by side but no I am totally tech challenged!     I just want to say that I found myself getting more angry the longer I looked through Trump pics. I think that's very indicative of what he does to people, he seems to fuel anger. |

Amsterdam) voted for in, I am a little uncertain too, and I agree with you Karen, it's old-school blinkered, racists, mostly, or very ignorant people. The pound has dropped against the dollar, which doesn't help when we are going to the US in two weeks! House prices are possibly looking to fall, which also doesn't help as I am trying to sell my Dad's house! Sigh. The world is going to hell in a handbasket. I shall keep calm, listen to Coldplay and eat Chocolate (and drink a glass or two of wine). |

You should buys some dollars now, Row. That's just a minor problem. I think you own biggest problem is your dads house... Hope you can still sell it for a descent price.
I hoped UK would stay as well. I think the three biggest nations should cooperate intense (Germany, France and UK). Not sure what this means for the future. I can only agree with Chris at this moment. Only way to go for a beter world/live is together....

Yes. I am thinking we won't leave. Something will happen to turn this around. Even the politicians who were for the leave are going. "ahh.. well, we kind of expected Lose".. Yeah we called your bluff.. now deal with it!
