In an exclusive with Sunday Night, the band performed, for the first time, their new release Ghost Stories and talked about their creative journey. "What starts off seeming like a heart break record is not … it's a joyful realization that you can’t escape what life throws at you, so just enjoy it," Martin said. The notoriously-private band of four sat down to discuss their new work ahead of a trip to Australia to perform an intimate gig in Sydney. Buy the Coldplay album on iTunes Bassist Guy Berryman said the album was revealing and very "truthful" for Martin. "It was obviously very real and very raw and I felt that he was perhaps exposing himself too much but actually, when you think about it, it’s probably the bravest thing that you can do," he said. Drummer Will Champion said the album was one of the most important to the band to date. "I want to do it justice because I know how much you know how important what Chris is talking about is to him and so I felt very honoured," Champion said. "My favourite is the song True Love, I think it’s fabulous… it’s the kind of foundation for me of the album it’s the centerpiece," he said. I messed around with my recording software and thought I'd come up with a way to set a recording and was going to test it out last night/this morning, but it recorded nothing. Now I know why.

I noticed that too. I did enjoy the blips with Chris and Will and the recording footage, but other than that, they pulled quotes and most of their other filler stuff from other sources, some old.

I don't actually think they used any original footage apart from the trailer. Most of it came from the Making Of shown on UK TV, some from Live 2012, and various photos from around the internet. Very strange, particularly when they advertised it as an 'interview'.
