Forrest Gump is one of my favorite movies of all time. Loved it, loved it! I like suspenseful movies a lot, just not The Nightmare on Elm Street and stuff like that. My husband laughs at me when I ask him approximately how many body parts will I see flying if I go see a certain movie with him. Haha!

I like smart horror films, hubby really loves the Paranormal Activity movies, my fave "horror" (though it's not really) film is "Seven." Me too, I like "smart" horror films. No blood and guts movies, yuck, you couldn't pay me anything to watch Saw. (Well, maybe you could get me to watch it if you pay me in Coldplay tickets, but ya know.....) I did really like both Paranormal Activity and The Others. My favorite oooooold scary movie is Poltergeist. I've seen it so many times but I still love it.

I'm going to see "Guardians of the Galaxy" in a bit, so I'll let you know what I think.

I like Tom Hanks, he is a good actor. He's one of those actors who just morphs into his roles and your forget he is Tom Hanks. Jonny Depp is like that too.

I've been watching Bosom Buddies, Tom Hanks' TV sitcom from the eighties, before he got famous. He's hysterical in it. Check it out on Youtube if you like silly, light hearted comedy.

LOL I loved that show!!! I think I was (six or seven?) when that came out. My mom wouldn't let me watch it b/c she thought it was "inappropriate for kids" for some reason. I had to sneak to watch it. Running to YouTube it... (shhh don't tell my Mom!) Watching the pilot...OMG this show has the longest theme song ever! Were theme songs super long back then or something?

They were superlong back then! They had all these intro scenes and THEN they showed the actors! So funny. Watching this show makes me feel happy when I'm sad.

People no longer have the attention span to watch a long intro LOL
It's a pretty cute show! Good for cheering up/being silly

'Bosom Buddies' is awesome!
I saw "Guardians of the Galaxy" tonight and enjoyed it! I probably need to see it again at some point because my sister went with us, and she loves to talk during movies, and she has a broken foot and kept re-positioning herself constantly. haha! But I thought it was fun and it's very funny in a lot of places.

Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors, if not my favorite. Another one was in the movie I saw tonight and unfortunately died not too long ago, Philip Seymour Hoffman. What a great actor, such a loss. I saw "The Most Wanted Man" tonight - an intrigue/war on terror kind of movie that was very interesting, and Hoffman was so good in it. The best part? The end credits where Sharon Martin was listed as the hair and makeup person. (That's twice now, "Snow White and Huntsman" had a Sharon Martin working in it too. Not that I go out of my way to notice this stuff or anything..... )

I forgot to post, it's been a week! Thanks for the recommendations, I chose:
Still life: very slow, quiet, "small" film. I loved it, the story, actors and the attention to details.
The Grand Budapest Hotel: Quirky and unique, yes and very funny. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling well so I couldn't watch all of it, so annoying. Will wait for the dvd.
