I can't wait to go to this movie!! It will be my next trip. Oh, and the movie is probably pretty good too. Seriously, thanks for the review. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

That guy is truly astounding, the life he led and the things he survived, and then living to the ripe old age of 97.

I saw Hobbit 3. I don't know... I love Lord Of The Rings, seen them many many times, but the Hobbit films not so much. I can't even put my finger on what's wrong, but I just never got into them, how sad. I don't understand Thranduil, the elven king. Maybe it's that these wood elves are different. Still, many good actors. I didn't know Billy Connolly was in it, when I heard the voice I thought it must be him. I like him, he's funny, and the accent!
I miss Troxley :( I wonder if she made that elf costume.

i haven't watched any of the hobbit movies, even though i love the lord of the rings series. not that keen on watching them either.
i watched birdman and the imitation game. both phenomenal movies. and the actors were incredible. specially birdman. kooky, offbeat, wonderful movie.

I thought about Troxley the other day and the costumes. Troxley, come back and let us know what's happening!
I saw Unbroken a few days ago; really good film; inspiring. Miracles starts right before the end of the movie while showing some updated clips of the real Louie, and it just fit so perfectly. It's amazing what the human spirit can get you through.

Some gal-pals and I went to see "Into the Woods" for the sole purpose of watching Johnny Depp (the Wolf) howl!
(He didn't get to howl nearly long enough, but other than that, it was an enjoyable version of the original musical.)

I saw The Imitation Game tonight, and wow, I highly recommend it. I want to see Boyhood, Birdman and The Theory of Everything.

Really enjoyed Birdman, everyone was really great in it and I liked the way it was filmed.

Nice to hear you like The Imitation Game. I'd like to see it but it didn't get very good reviews here, so I wasn't sure. Birdman also looks very interesting.
I saw Night Will Fall, a British Holocaust documentary. Awful awful scenes but so worth watching if you can.

Planned to have an early night last night, but Elizabeth: The Golden Age was on TV and I couldn't resist as I hadn't seen it before. I like Cate Blanchett very much so it was worth staying up for, great costumes too. Silver Linings Playbook is on tonight Haven't seen that either. edit: I fell asleep during Silver Linings Playbook, maybe halfway into it. Not my kind of movie apparently

Bradley Cooper is wonderful in Silver Linings Playbook. The rest of the movie for me was just okay.
OK, don't laugh, but I saw Fifty Shades of Grey last week and I actually liked it. Just don't go on a first date!

I want to see it too! I've read the books and liked them. Hope it will stay in the cinema for a bit so I can see it too.

Out of curiosity, and I have not read the books, I saw 50 Shades as well. It was okay. From what I understand, it's more tame than the books, obviously. The gals I was with got the giggles during the movie, which made it more fun, but honestly, it takes a great deal to shock me! We also saw a movie called "The Duff" which is a high school-type movie along the lines of Easy A, and I thought it was really cute.

I've read 50 Shades Of Grey, I haven't seen the movie yet. The book was OK. There's another movie/story along the same lines that I think is much better called Secretary, if you liked 50 Shades Of Grey check that one out. It's got the same theme of "messed up girl meets messed up guy" with the BDSM theme but think it's got a much better and more interesting plot. And it's pretty funny in parts too.
