I just packed my rucksack for my practice Duke of Edinburgh expedition. It is massive :o I am doing it next week, but before that we have another practice on our school field. In other words, while some of you lucky people are seeing Coldplay at the RAH, I shall be on a wet, muddy school field overnight, cooking pasta in the cold. YOU GUYS ARE SO LUCKY  And then on the Thursday and Friday we have to go out into the hills alone And we will undoubtedly get lost  |

I had never heard of DofE expedition. See, I looked it up and know the abbreviation Looks like a really good experience, wish I knew how to make it in places without asphalt and concrete. Is it something most people do? Is it part of school work? Hope you'll enjoy it! You could always pretend you're at Glastonbury 2011. |

It is quite popular but the people who do do it are still a minority. It's separate to schoolwork though. That is a good idea! I will try and enjoy it and just think about how many new posts there will be on the boards by the time I get back. |

LOL the only thing that would get me up at 3am is Coldplay, or a very early flight somewhere nice. (maybe to see Coldplay - I might have a problem  ) Hahaha! Well, the World Cup is only every 4 years, so I think it's worth a few hours of lost sleep to cheer on my country's team! But Coldplay would be an even more worthwhile reason to get up at 3. |

I think I have walked further than ever over the last two days
But what was really depressing is that last night I had a dream that I was going to see Coldplay and then I woke up and realised that it wasn't real.

OK I just went to the store to pick up some last minute snacks for the 4th.
I went to take a piece of cheese from the sample tray, and accidentally knocked the whole tray of cheese on the floor. I snuck away embarrassed.
I then went to the next aisle and tried to strike up a friendly conversation with the women next to me. I pointed out some chocolate cupcakes that I had recently tried and said, "You should get these. They're really good!" And then her kid started screaming that he wanted the cupcakes. I again snuck away embarrassed.
LMAO I caused chaos all over the place.

HAHA.. sounds like something I'd do.. and the cupcakes sound good. Yummy... I went to work today.. which was a totally surreal experience after two days in Coldplay Heaven... Back to earth with a bump. But I got some really good news this morning, which made up for it. Andy (hubby) was offered and he accepted a new job. He starts in August. It will mean more money, (more funds for my Coldplay addiction! yay LOL). He is over the moon, and I am so happy and proud of him. |

I also had a CP dream the other night, which doesn't come easy for me, and it involved a Chris hug, and I felt the same way when I woke up. I've been trying to retrace my steps, eat exactly what I ate, etc. to continue the dream, but nothing. It was nice while it lasted! Yes! It's very good. Today is a busy day. I am going to the gym this morning, after an entire week off! Ugh LOL.. Also it's raining after such a glorious week, and then we are going guitar shopping! (as you do! LOL - Hubby wants to buy a new guitar as a new job present should be fun!) and this evening we are going out to dinner to celebrate. |
