I agree! Johnny Depp was hot in the Pirates period. At this moment I kinda think he is a bit weird...

I think I agree with you Prissie. He's kind of lost the plot a bit right now. Sadly because he is a wonderful actor.

I just finished reading The Catcher in the Rye, which is meant to be a classic. I see why people would love it and I see why people would hate it. I'm just in the middle really. Not much happened in it, but it was well written. And I think the sign of a good book is when not much happens but you love it anyway because it's so well written (examples: The Book Thief and Of Mice and Men). But then I don't have strong opinions on most things these days. I would recommend The Last Dragon Chronicles series by Chris d'Lacey. The books make less and less sense as they go on but I love them anyway

Catcher In The Rye is a great book Amelia. Have your read The Great Gatsby or A Farewell to Arms? Those are both great books. 2 of my personal favorites.

I just finished reading The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. It was brilliant. It was absolutely amazing and I can tell that it's going to take me a while to get over the fact that it's ended. It was just so fast-paced, especially later on. I completely understand the original idea of looking out of the train window and wondering about the lives of the people you see. It was a magnificent story of self-discovery on the part of the main character. She discovers a lot about her past. At first her motives are questionable and at times she is annoying; by the end she seems completely different. Actually, the characters that I liked at the start were the ones that I hated at the end. That's perhaps why I love this book so much. It really kept me guessing. And I couldn't put it down. I read it in two days, and I don't regret reading it too fast. Anyway, I'm gonna stop ranting now. But I would wholeheartedly recommend this book.

I'm about to read yet another Queen Elizabeth 1, book. I have an absolutely unhealthy obsession with this queen. Don't know what book I will read just yet but there are so many new ones every year and the search will be fun.

I just finished the 17 e-books of the Sorcerer's Ring (by Morgan Rice). A tale like LOTR but written in super speed-up tempo. I didn't like the sometimes sloppiness style, and the lack of details, but the story was super addictive for me.

Right now I am reading a books called 'Carrots' by Colleen Helme, it's about a woman with a husband and kids who gets shot in the head and can suddenly mind read, and she gets involved with the mob.. it's funny, fun and exciting and I like it. (it's called carrots because she was buying Carrots when she was shot LOL).

I'm currently trying to finish two books: One is The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt which is an amazing coming of age story. The other is Carol (The price of salt) of Patricia Highsmith.
