It is very, very nice song, with beautiful melody! I listened 5 times in total; the onl thing is I still can't totally embrace the song - wich makes me sad. It is not that I am totally dissapointed; I like the song in many ways but my ears hear the allmost-constant "clapping" all the time - And I don't like clapping.... (The "clapping" I mentioned starts at 21 seconds) I really really REALLY hope I will grow over this as I want to be as enthousiast about new Coldplay song as I was with Midnight or Atlas etc.

I am used to listen less to the beat and more to the melodies. That's all coming out of the band. For me it is something that keeps the rythm. If there are any drummers among us, sorry! So, I don't pay much attention to beats, although I love to see a good drummer playing. The passion... I've read a lot of critics from fans about the song. I know everyone has different tastes. I can even understand the critics to ASFOS, although I like it. But I thought this (Miracles) was the type of songs fans would be sattisfied with. But I guess I am wrong.

Midnight? That was not even their song LOL Chris just sang some words over it, that's all but THIS is a real song with real instruments and I love it Don't worry though. You don't have to like everything. To me, Ghost Stories was kind of a flop just as MX. Everyone has different tastes in music and that's fine

I am not pointing directly to you, but I've read more critics. Some hard ones, like biggest disappointment, even worse then GS and those kind of stuff.
No, we don't all have the same taste, but I was thinking that is just not doing justice to the song....

I think it is ok to have different oppinions! It makes us (people) all different from eachother and that is perfect by me! It is about the touching of indefinable strings in our personal souls, that makes us like one and love another song. Or person haha. The Midnight vibes touched mine too Caren and they still do when I listen to it - comparable like the first time I listened . For me Midnight is a genuine Coldplay song. Just as Miracles is one.

I'm the opposite, I listen to the beat. I really tried now to listen to the melody but I just ended up drumming along I only saw fans being super excited and satisfied with Miracles, no negative but I only read a little yesterday. Will look up more, it's interesting to read both. Of course it's ok with different opinions, there can't be a right or wrong.

Yes, CP wrote this song, but in my opinion, this really isn't a song for fans to decide whether it fits CP's new album or whatever. This is for a movie soundtrack and it fits a premise and a feel for that particular purpose. The director and producers are the ones that asked for a song and they are the ones that want a certain feel for a song. Yeah, they are releasing it for the movie, but it's not like it's going to be on their album, so you don't have to listen to it or buy it if you don't want. It's really hard to get tone across in text! I promise you I'm saying this in my head with happiness, respect and a most carefree attitude! Personally, just in my opinion, it's hard to imagine someone not liking this song because I get so uplifted from it, but hey, to each their own! I do not want to read negative comments about it, so I'm not going to search them out in the websphere, but it's fine not to like it, or any other song. We are an accepting board around here (even though I can't imagine not liking it! LOL!! ) As for Midnight, I adore it. I can't get enough of it to be honest.

Love Midnight. It's totally grown on me, it's moody. Coldplay are the masters of mood.
