I didn't care about Midnight when the video was 1st released on youtube. It took seeing them perform it in Austin in April for me to get it and now I love it.
I love Miracles, and no I don't like every Coldplay song but Miracles is a wonderfully, uplifting one.

For some reason Miracles to me sounds like a much more upbeat Always In My Head. I think it's the lyrics and how Chris sings them in some parts. It's still a great song to me, and I'm interested if this style will be seen on LP7. I certainly wouldn't mind.

the reviews of the event are very positive everyone seems to have been blown away. good that people seem to be not taking his 'i don't care' comments out of context. especially since the audience was the academy.

This article is about the event but also this part about when Chris met Angelina Jolie and how they worked with the song:
During an interview prior to taking the stage, Martin told THR, with tongue firmly in cheek, how he came to the project: "I got a text or something from someone that said, 'Angelina Jolie is looking for you' — which is a text you always want to get — and I said, 'Okay, where does she need me?' And then I got called to Universal and taken through a system of tunnels and security systems and frisked, and then I was told I was allowed to meet her, eventually. They hosed me down and I was ushered in and she said, 'Hi, do you still play music?' I said, 'I do, yeah. I'm in Coldplay' And she said, 'We're looking for a song at the end of the movie,' and I said, 'How much do you need, money-wise?' She said, 'Give me six million.' I said, 'Okay,' so we exchanged — she said, 'You can do the song.'"
"Then she played me a clip — that's actually true," he continued. "She played me a lot of clips and then she gave me the book. The movie was somewhat finished and it was amazing — over at the side of the office was all the storyboards and everything. It was exciting. And then I read the book that night — very quickly — and then I suggested it to the band and then we did it." (He and the band had previously contributed only one other song to a movie: "Atlas" for last year's The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, for which they received Golden Globe and Grammy nominations.)
And how quickly did "Miracles" come together? "About 10 minutes to write," he said, "but then to record it takes a lot longer." He was inspired by the unlikely nature of Zamperini's journey — "People go through insane stuff and come out the other side" — while also connecting to the idea of miracles on a different, personal level, as well: "I keep seeing it in my own life. All of these marvelous things happen — miracles." He added, "You have to feel it, otherwise you can't do it. And I did, and we're so happy to be a part of [the film]."

Still need to watch it.
I was wondering: the second voice, is it Will? There are moments I think he is, but when I am listening again, I am doubting...
If he is, his voice sounds really beautiful in this song.

Definitely sounds like Will to me. Jonny and Guy don't seem to harmonize with Chris unless Will is involved with it too. But then you have Daylight with Chris+Jonny.

Angelina Jolie May or May Not Have Taken Chris Martin HostageScratch beneath the surface of our most mainstream male musicians, and you'll find the soul of a stand-up comedian. John Mayer would rather tell jokes than sing earnest love songs, while Josh Groban's witty Twitter account will make you like him even more than your mom already does. Add to their ranks Chris Martin of Coldplay: When Vulture caught up with Martin this past weekend at a Hollywood luncheon meant to celebrate his song "Miracles," which plays over the closing credits of the film Unbroken, a very simple question put to the star — how did Angelina Jolie ask him to write the song for her second directorial effort? — became more of an improv-comedy prompt in Martin's hands. "I got a message that said, 'Meet in this undisclosed location. You'll be blindfolded and picked up by seven ex–Navy SEALs,'" Martin deadpanned. "So they kidnapped me, hit me over the head, and sprayed me with Mace. When I woke up, I was in an office, and Brad Pitt was doing push-ups as Angelina Jolie was just sitting there with her crown on. There was also a guy holding a knife to my throat, and she said, 'Write me a song, or else.' And Brad Pitt said, 'Yeah. What she said.'" Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. And how did that go? "We wrote a song and then she said, 'It's through to the final eight,' and then we had live eliminations at her house," Martin continued. And in this scenario with Angelina Jolie cast as Simon Cowell, did Coldplay triumph? "We came in second, but the main guy chickened out." In all seriousness, "Miracles" is Coldplay's second song written for a film soundtrack, after last year's "Atlas," composed for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Martin says he likes the discrete challenge of writing a single tune within strict parameters rather than creating an entire album. "I find that a little bit of limitation is really helpful when you're trying to create," he told Vulture. "Let's say you come up with an idea — like, 'I want to have a school for wizards' — then you've got a nice parentheses to put everything in. It's the same way when someone says to me, 'Here's the film and the book. Write something about that.' It's really nice to have those limitations because otherwise, where do you start?" And what movies has Martin responded to this year? "Boyhood," he replied immediately. (The Coldplay song contained in that Richard Linklater film surely didn't hurt.) "I've only seen that, and … well, I haven't seen the finished version of Unbroken yet, but I can't comment on it anyway, as I'd be biased." And perhaps abducted once more by Navy SEALs, should he fall out of line. x

HAHA! Omg this man is so funny! What she said.'"
'Her crown on...." ROTFLOL!
