The first tree! Nice and practical I have a star and some lights. It's really difficult to take pics when it's so dark but I'll try. I really like this one : I just realised Christmas is both very serious and very funny, hmm..

Nice Row! We use the word 'gezellig' in Holland. It is something like 'cosy', but it is not the same. All the lights and ornaments makes a home just a more lovely, warm and welcome place to be. The whole atmosphere changes and I like to keep the lights during 24 hours a day. I like to decorate - and our youngest son likes it too! He decorated our tree by himself and I think he did a really good job. He putt ALL the lights and balls and left overs he could find in ONE tree LOL: He made a 'conference' of Santa's (called in Dutch: "de 2e kamer" - something as 'the Parlement' I think) to debat together wether it will be a good Christmas And the top piece(s!!!): This is above our fireplace. The Santa is from Koln (Germany): And another tree in our backgarden. We hang up the lights only today and it is beautifull to look at in the dark hours... This is Frummel, with a knitted sweater, made by Jelte . She felt asleep like this The sock is a souvenir from Moskow, the garland is made by the boys - some years ago. The London Confetti Stars are gone (uh oh), they have make place for christmas balls and decorations above the dining table:

You can't overdo Christmas decorations! (I think ) Beautiful trees! I love the Santa debate And the decorations above the table, beautiful, I want one. I wonder how the cats feel about Row's tree... Yay a new climbing toy? Lovely pictures!

I love all the pics! Beautiful decorations. I take the word 'overdone' to a new level sometimes, but hey, the feelings it creates are wonderful, the excitement overflows, and it's just plain wonderful, even if it is a lot of work. I put my decorations up pretty much no later than Dec. 1 because with all the effort, I want to look at them a while. I will try to be industrious and take some and post them. Our main tree (called the "special tree" forever by the kids because it's covered with homemade or sentimental or special ornaments from throughout the years), is 10 feet tall, and it's so nice to sit in a room with the lights off and just stare at it. Peaceful. This will be the last Christmas with our family as a foursome. My oldest son will get married next July, and I'm already very sentimental and emotional about it all. I realize it's normal and it's the road to grandchildren one day, haha, but still, as nice as it is, it feels like the end of an era of sorts and feels sad in a way. Ahhhh, life.
