Oh Leann don't ever give up! Don't let that orange fruit basket monkey brained two faced Putin loving scruffy looking Nerf herder get to you! Listen to Coldplay, and do all the things that make you happy. I'm glad you found something that helps take the edge off. A few months ago I went off my anxiety/depression meds and I was fine until a few days ago. I cry every night before I go to bed. The whole thing is scary, but I'm working on it. But Coldplay, as per usual, is getting me through it. Parachutes is like medicine. I don't know what I'd do without them!

And I agree -- It's crazy how prevalent mental health issues are in the U.S., and how difficult it is to find good providers while not breaking the bank. Fingers crossed that at some point it will become more available and more affordable. 

I still have trouble coping sometimes with the knowledge that you never know if it will get better. All you can do is hope and live one day at a time, and try your best. That's all we can ever do. And find awesome people to befriend and communities to belong to 

And anything helps against fighting crazy orange man syndrome 

I'm sorry you are going through this Ldnsky, I hope that the dip you are feeling, is just the withdrawal from the meds and you will feel better soon. I am not sure how it works in the US with mental health. Here we are able to get it on the National Health. However there is no guarantee it's good! But you also need referring from your GP.

And yes Coldplay and friends help. A LOT.

Also sending my support, Ldnsky, and my hope that the low you are feeling right now will begin to level itself out soon. I had a very close friend who also had cancer, and she told me one day that she'd rather go through the cancer again than the depression. That really hit me like a ton of bricks and speaks volumes of the level of helplessness that she felt at that time. But like you, she said she took it one day at a time, and it did get better, so always hold onto the hope. Please know that you have friends here that will support you. As for our band, it's amazing how they've touched our lives in different ways. Never underestimate the power of music and the affect it has on us.

And I agree 100% that the mental health system needs a major overhaul. I know people that work in this field, and they are stressed, overworked and underpaid. And people that desperately need help aren't getting it whether it's difficult to find or difficult to afford.  Here's to hoping some very smart individuals will one day help the system.

I'm lucky that I'm not 26, as that allows me to remain on my mom's insurance, but even then it's not enough. She works for the Mayo Clinic, but they only cover 80%, and at $600+ per therapy/medication session, it isn't easy! Oh well. I hope our next president isn't a joke and actually does something about it. Not being orange would be a plus too. 😉
