They've given evacuation orders for the city north of us and my town. My brother woke me up and told me, we packed up and left for relatives. Sounds like the when the re flag warning starts and the wind picks up, this fire has the potential to go all the way to the Pacific ocean.

We're back home now, albeit some smoke damage but can't complain too much. We still have a house to come home too.

Wednesday was our turn for a major fire, I drove past flames on my way to work before they shut down the freeway right in front of me. The fire was burning near the Ronald Reagan Library which we have in our town so there was extra worry about that. Our county fire dept did a spectacular job getting the fire out and everything was back to normal the next day. I also hear the Library was safer because there are goats who eat the vegetation around it. Thanks to the goats!
