When I hear "Oceans" I can't help but be reminded of the Pearl Jam song "Oceans" from the album "Ten". (Great album by the way.) Which reminds me of a story.
When I was in college I was a big Pearl Jam fan. My college boyfriend didn't like Pearl Jam and I was playing "Ten" and trying to convince him it was great. I explained to him quite seriously as we went through the songs that all of these songs had a social message, and he should appreciate them for their deep meaning. When we got to the song "Oceans", I solemnly announced, and this song is called, "Oceans". He sighed heavily and said, "And what is THIS song about, raising money for disabled fish?" *Sigh* college boys, such memories....
