Come on guys we've done this before! There is no need to get downhearted. There is always a space between albums, but this time it's not going to be nearly as long! We can do it! We can have listening / watching parties here, we can post photos, listen to our music, play games, keep up with the band as they record stuff.. it IS exciting knowing they are already starting LP8. I think the schedule up there Dustin seems to be a good one. I don't think the summer would be a tour, more likely the autumn, winter or even early 2016. But in between they hopefully will do festivals and one off gigs. Maybe showcase their new stuff as they did with MX. Like gai says, they might do a Christmas gig! I do hope so.. and if they do I hope its here.. Selfish I know.. but hey. WE CAN DO IT! Coldplay are worth waiting on.

*land of hope and glory plays over Row's speech*
Is it just me that — in an odd way — likes the silence between albums? I mean obviously I don't like being without Coldplay but I like the mystery. And we can guess at things and hope that we'll like what they do next. And we can piece things together like detectives. Maybe it is just me but i like the guesswork.

Nope, you are not alone in that Amelia! I see it in that way too. Come on, it is not thát long ago we were gifted with Ghost Stories!! I can still enjoy GS very much and I still have the concert in London close in mind. Besides that, I am still in love with Atlas, and A LOT of the older music they have made. Meanwhile, we have eachother and we can listen to gossip, enjoy Chrissie pics, dreaming about the next tour etc. Yes, we all want a gig (or two or more ) in the near future, but after thát, LP9 will be very FAR away! Like children who want a toy, and after getting it, they want another. So let's all go with the flow, knowing it will come as it should come. We will help eachother through the cold and lonely winter months . And I agree: a Christmas concert (in London!!!) is ok with me. On second thought: I can feel the excitment for getting tickets already

o yeah, Berlin too!! Then I can go to both places - as I cannot deside wich place I prefer LOL
And as long as there is no tickets-stress, I even want to go in a line for days to get tickets.

Ahh don't even think about ticket stress!! But if there is a gig at Christmas, then we did it for GS and those tickets were like gold dust! So we can do it again. Having all of us trying worked wonders last time.

LOL at the last few posts I'm sure no other fans hold the same amount of optimism as we do We've gone through the awful 'after album' low to the stress of getting tickets for gigs in London and Berlin apparently all in a few lines And yes we really can't do without this place at times like this!!

I can do a Christmas gig in Amsterdam or Rotterdam, but I am afraid London pr Berlin wont be an option by that time But I would be happy to help you guys out to get tickets if there will be a gig in one of those places (or anywhere else where someone of us could go to)

See, it's so nice to be able to have the option of getting to these places because they aren't that far apart. This is the thing with America. For stuff like this and special stuff (not regular tours), you have your choice usually of New York or L.A. and those are 5 hours apart by plane, not including layovers which are a reality for most of us here.
I DID go to the Christmas gig in London last year, hee hee. We sat outside on the sidewalk wrapped in silver bags to keep from freezing for over 13 hours to even get in. It was worth every second, however. This year, it probably won't happen for me, but I'll help get tickets for anyone else as well. And I'm sure it will be in London (unless Dustin lucks out and it happens in Berlin, ha!)
And don't give up during this down time! It will be fun to speculate and anticipate and be giddy for the upcoming album, which, let's face it, will be a MUCH shorter time to wait for. It happens all of the time, and we have always gotten through it and will again. Let's start talking about it! LOL! What is Chris's hair going to look like? (So I can use it in another Love Button hint...) Will they go back to outfits?

Two weeks ago my family (aunt, uncle and cousin) were at ours. My aunt and uncle have four kids, three boys and a girl.
We had a lovely day together and we talked about Coldplay. My uncle like them and so does my cousin. I told them about my trip to London and more. My uncle told me he has been to the gig in Nijmegen in 2003 with two of his sons. And after that he told one of his sons love the song Talk very much. The story behind it: In 2001 my nephew was killed by a car accident at the age of 19... The songs fits a lot by the feelings we all had.
I have never thought about it that way, but now I can't listen to it, without thinking about that and it's causing tears. It's become from a beautiful song, to an amazing song with a fitting meaning....

And they have so many songs that fit so many feelings. The mark of a good song and a good band is that it can strike emotion within you. Such a sad story, Prissie. The worst thing that can ever happen to a person.

Agreed. Your poor uncle, I am glad that Coldplay can help him, and you come to terms with it a little.
They do have such incredible songs, and sometimes one just strikes a chord with you, for whatever reason, and it becomes even more important. A great band and amazing songs.
