saw this clip today and was surprised at how ed burns made it sound like chris just happened to see his band play and offered the gig. thought they were good friends that go back a good decade. i remember seeing pics of them back in x&y era.

He does say that Chris came to his 40th birthday party, and what a present!! Goodness, what a guy. They do indeed go back a ways. Just for those curious that haven't seen them, the first pic is from 2005 and the second from 2010. There is an interview somewhere where he does call "Eddie Burns" a best friend. I can see it in my head, but I'm having a hard time finding it in my mess.   |

Hmm yeah...
I think a position in the top 100 of the best rock pianists would have been justified for Mr. Martin. The way he used to perform Trouble and Politik were really intense and I think he had his very own style of playing too.The list doesn't seem to be official though?
