Believe it or not we are having our OWN wildfires here in England! It hasn't rained in this part of the country for around six weeks now. We are having what they call a heatwave. It won't be long before they go ahead and ban us using hosepipes.. it's not like we don't get enough water most of the rest of the year! Trouble us the water companies have no idea how to manage it. so we get hosepipe bans. No watering your gardens, filling pools etc. Although it hasn't happened yet.

Anyway.. yes it's hot LOL!

Rain.. We had a large thunderstorm on Friday after weeks and weeks of no rain at all.. and very high temps. Like you Carina I can't remember when it last rained. Yesterday was a very nice sunny fresh day with no rain. But high winds.. I watched my neighbours gazebo take off !! Woops! Today.. it's pouring down out there. But that is okay. My garden is loving it. And I am enjoying not having to sit in front of a fan all day sweating my arse off. Although I have loved the weather. It's been beautiful, I just hope that is not it now... I want my summer to last for at least another month please.

We've lost multiple firefighters this year. More fires popping up. I worked a 19 hour shift last Saturday to help evacuate a hospital in the way of a wildfire. Went home for 3 hours then came abck to work 13 more hours.
