It's back to very hot here again. Sleeping in front of fans ahh.. I love the hot weather, but it is so hard to sleep. We keep getting maggot infestations in our kitchen bin too. So disgusting. So I have now decided to keep the back door shut regardless. It doesn't help that the rubbish is collected here every two weeks. In this heat my dustbin is just ugh! (they do recycling one week and rubbish the next - but it's hard to find enough space sometimes).

Very scary the California fires, do be careful.
Still very hot here. Also sleeping in front of a fan. I agree, I love it too but som things are hard 😁

We do fan sleeping too. My second floor is so much warmer than the first floor! The other night I slept on the couch downstairs because it was cooler.

MUCH cooler. We have had rain. My garden is enjoying itself. But we have kind of got into the way of thinking that it won't rain now. So have organised barbeques and things.. Keep fingers crossed for tomorrow, we are going to a BBQ..

I'm in NC and have been watching Florence very carefully. It looks like it may be shifting south, however, so my area will likely just get some heavy rain at this point.

The shifting south has helped us in Virginia as well as it was originally heading straight over us dumping 15-20" of rain. I live in a mountainous area where our city is in a bowl of sorts, and flooding is an issue, so I'm glad it's dipping south - even though I'm sorry for those in the path. HOWEVER, I think it's going to turn and head north at some point anyway, so we'll get some of those heavy rain bands anyway by the end of the weekend into next week. 6-10" (forecasted right now, but that could change as it has changed many times) of rain is a lot of rain, it's better than 15+.
We hang out in North Carolina beaches every year, and I'm so sad to think of Ocean Isle or Holden Beach taking such a direct hit, and I hope they don't suffer too much.

Definitely all stay safe.
It's pretty nice here for mid September. We still haven't had much rain.. I hope this doesn't mean we will get a horrendously wet winter. But I guess i can't complain it's been the best summer for years.

It's very hot here! I'm watching the leaves fall off the trees but I still have the air conditioning on every day. It's great! Unless it's due to global warming bringing on death and destruction of the entire world, which would not be so great. Oh well.. let's all just enjoy the sunshine while we can!

We've just had a lovely couple of warm days but its supposed to be getting cooler over the next couple of days.
A 'friend' has posted a link predicting 4 Months of ice and snow in the UK, my first thought was Oh God why, then when I got to thinking this was normal when I was growing up....and then we all just got on with it, and survived !!

We've had more rain the past few months than I remember having in the past few years! I'm sure I'm exaggerating but really... But this weekend (and next week) is supposed to be really nice!!!
