OMG, that was what I needed to hear right now. He said that this was not a farewell tour and that he loved his job and that it was so him. Of course, we knew that he loved his job, but after all of the ominous words, a little bit of reassurance for me isn't the worst thing in the world.

Stephen Colbert's show opened with Chris sitting on a sofa backstage. Stephen shows up and asks what he's doing, and Chris says that he's writing lyrics for Stephen's opening song. Turns out it's a bunch of 'shooby doo's', and it was so cute. When the show officially opened, he was onstage with the band to sing his newly-penned 'shooby doo's' and then he walked offstage until they played HFTW at the end of the show. No interview. (I fast forwarded the middle this morning, so I don't think anything else was said about them!)
