This is so sweet. That's gonna make a great video for the birthday threads.
The video is sped up though, probably a copyright thing. He sounds too high. There's one on Coldplaying that's worse quality but he sounds less like a mouse.
Here's another one.

I've read these articles through the past few yrs. And Chris eludes to it quite a bit in his interviews. It would appear that the thinking in England is that you had to be from the wrong side of tracks to have music credibility. This article seems to claim that the middle and upper class have taken over.
We have no such issues in the US. Music is music, regardless of where the musician is from.

Chris has indeed said that a lot, and I've always found it to be a shame if he carried any insecurity about having an upper scale and happy childhood. And I think it's sad that he ever felt he didn't deserve his success even being as mega talented as he is. Interesting.

i have noticed that he has a big aversion to formal clothing. until a couple of years ago, we hardly saw a dressed up chris martin. and we've never seen him in bow ties, tail coats, etc. i think he has an issue with these upper class representations. he went to a pretty upper class type school that probably bred upper-middle class englishmen. remember one of first insults against coldplay were that they were middle class. he seems to have a lot of burden that he still carries around from his upbringing, being english, etc. maybe he is relaxing more now, since he is seen a lot more in a coat and tie.
