One could speculate that the Scientist was about her as well, even though he claims it's about Dan.
My point remains that if good songs were inspired by her, they are going to make the album.

That's Dan Keeling (A&R rep), though, not Dan Green that The Scientist is rumored to be about. But true, who knows what's really going through Chris' mind with songs. He said that Green Eyes was written for Jonny AND another person, a girl. Later, he said that it's easier to say songs are written about girls rather than about your guitarist.  I think there's times we've all heard where's he's contradicted himself or said different things about songs (and just about everything else!) He likes to keep us guessing! With Warning Sign, there was an interview once where he said that he didn't want to play it in concerts back when because he felt that it was about outdated emotions, but we know he got over that with the MX tour. But I don't think he'd take songs off of an album because a relationship is over if he wrote a song about that relationship. Just guessing. |

He also joked that green eyes was about a cat. I really do feel perhaps it was half about a girl, half an ode to Jonny.

Moses and Swallowed By The Sea that I know of. I'm sure there were others since she was his gf then wife, but I don't think I've heard confirmation of them. Actually, I don't think I've heard Chris say he dedicated Swallowed By The Sea to her, but she mentioned it in an interview one time.
