Anyone listened to the Zane lowr interview broadcast today? Looks like Chris said something along the lines of this being the last "conventional" coldplay album and people are going gaga over it! O haven't listened yet.

AHFOD is the last conventional album? If so, that's great. I don't mind more experimental stuff from them, like Midnight.

Do they mean 'conventional' as in maybe releasing an album under a record label, promoting and releasing it, single by single? I do tend to freak out a little when he makes these broad, ominous statements like he seems to like to do. edit: I just listened to the Zane interview, and I have to admit that it makes me feel very 'weird.' He's very confusing, this wonderful man of ours. On one hand, he says that the band won't split up. On the other, he said he would "be very surprised if there was another conventional Coldplay album" and that he's "standing by" his statement that this album is a closing chapter. He said he was very proud of the 7 albums and that they formed a circle. He also said the band has talked about all of this and "that's why" they are enjoying the tour so much. Chris! Stop it!!! He is so contradictory sometimes. I recorded the interview and promptly closed out of it before saving. Sigh. I will record it again later. But it is HERE if you can access it. Going to chew some antacid now...

I've listened to the interview 3x & I'm not concerned. Whatever experiment they throw at us is welcome, so long as they don't stop making music. If anything, I'm living in the moment now. Per Chris, this tour is going to go well into 2017. I'm not even upset at the thought they may not get to my neck of the woods until next year.
7 Lps & not a single one bombed. Why would you stop?
