I think I'm wishing my name isn't Sammy(ie) because they sound like they are having a hard time in life, BUT I think Chris could use a great videographer to follow him around and do these sorts of videos for people. So I'd like to offer my videotaping skills to make sure that we hit everyone out there who is feeling down and needs some Chrissy love to make their day 1000% better! HELL yes, you would need an assistant I am sure.. LOL Pausing, rewinding, Zooming Karen? done that a LOT! thank god we don't use videotape any longer ! LOL And yeah hope Sammie is OK now.

I'm out of here! Chris Martin jets out of rainy LA after saving charity event with last minute performance By Leeor Samocha For Dailymail.com PUBLISHED: 11:41 EST, 18 February 2017 | UPDATED: 12:09 EST, 18 February 2017Not all heroes wear capes. On Friday, Christ Martin was spotted speed-walking through LAX to make it to a departing flight out of rainy Los Angeles. The night before, the 39-year-old Coldplay front-man made a last-minute performance at a charity event for the Women's Cancer Research Fund in Beverly Hills after another surprise performer 'mysteriously dropped out.' The Viva la Vida crooner was dressed down in a jet-set ensemble consisting of dark skinny jeans, a blue crew-neck sweatshirt and an isulated black jacket. He completed the off-duty look with a black beanie and matching scarf wrapped around his neck. Wearing blue and gray sneakers, Martin carried two carry-on bags with him as he prepared to walk through security. According to Page Six, on Thursday night philanthropist Jamie Tisch texted Chris Martin when her surprise musical performer 'mysteriously dropped out' of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation event. The singer reportedly ran to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in jeans and a T-shirt, where he took to a grand piano to play songs by Prince, Wham!, Leonard Cohen and David Bowie. The father-of-two also covered Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go as a George Michael tribute. While Martin - who is Gwyneth Paltrow's ex, having been married for over a decade - performed on the piano, honorary chair and actor Tom Hanks jokingly passed around a tip jar, offering it to Martin and quipping that it had raised $70,000. 'Normally, I play here every Thursday,' the singer joked while sitting on the piano onstage, where he stayed throughout the dinner to play. A source for the publication reported: 'He was having fun pretending he was a lounge singer.' This week, LA radio station ALT 98.7 announced that Chris Martin will be performing at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2017. The tweet with the flyer was later deleted. Meanwhile, Coldplay is gearing up to begin touring starting March 31 in Singapore. linkI love the first line, "Not all heroes wear capes." Just get a text and run off to help. He's our superhero for sure. And later on, it said that it was announced Chris would be performing (posted in another thread) then the tweet was deleted, so we'll see.

He's going to be honoring someone else on his birthday. What a guy! Chris Martin to Honor Radio Host Elvis Duran with a Star on Hollywood's Walk of FameBY GILLIAN TELLING POSTED ON FEBRUARY 24, 2017 AT 4:58PM EST
Longtime iHeartRadio host Elvis Duran has made stars of plenty of people by spinning their songs on his radio show—and now he’s getting a star of his own, on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame on March 2. Duran, who’s been the voice behind the top nationally syndicated radio show for over two decades, will have plenty of industry insiders on hand to help him celebrate, including good friend Chris Martin, who will present Duran with the star. Music industry legend L.A. Reid will also give a speech on Duran’s behalf. “Next week will be one the greatest highlights of my career,” Duran tells PEOPLE. “I love what I do, I love the music, and I’m honored to be presented with a star by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.” He adds, “And having the support of friends like L.A. Reid and Chris Martin is so surreal! I’m so grateful to have two of music’s most respected contributors by my side.” Chris Martin and Coldplay have been close with Duran, who was an early champion of the band. Duran, who famously shed over 100 lbs three years ago, recently told PEOPLE that his most difficult celebrity interview ever was Madonna. “She just wouldn’t give a straight answer,” he said. “Maybe she wanted to be a bad girl just for the sake of being a bad girl.” But, the host added, “While I didn’t love it, I’d still love to keep interviewing her. I want to get it right!” link

Friends everywhere! (And yes, that blue hat......ggggaaaahhhh!!) Chris Martin intervened to help Gavin Rossdale learn to play the piano NewsdeskColdplay frontman Chris Martin’s advice convinced Gavin Rossdale to finally learn how to play the piano. Although he has fronted Bush since 1992, the 51-year-old rocker admits that his musical skills were limited as he never learnt how to play the instrument. And it took his pal Chris to convince him to take piano lessons late in life in a bid to improve as a musician. Speaking to British magazine Grazia about his biggest regret he says, “That I didn’t learn piano from an early age. Chris Martin is a friend and he encouraged me to have lessons in my forties.” He also reveals that in his early days he was even written off as a singer, as an unnamed celebrity told his manager he wouldn’t make it as a vocalist. Gavin explains, “Around the time that I first began to sing, my former manager was talking to a famous restaurateur in London who said, ‘Whatever you do don’t let Gavin sing.’ He grossly underestimated me.” Over two decades on from founding Bush, he is now mentoring acts on U.K. TV talent show The Voice and says his musical taste has broadened to the extent that he’s a big fan of pop band One Direction. “There’s a bunch of One Direction songs that I think are really good. And Zayn (Malik’s 2016 album) Pillowtalk is probably the best record of last year,” he shrugged. In addition to appearing on The Voice, Gavin has been hard at work on a new Bush album, Black and White Rainbows, set for release on 10 March. link

His shoulder makes me laugh. It reminds me of the sign that the lady was holding in our News Around The World thread, haha! Of course it doesn't say that, but it made me laugh anyway. This is at the airport in Israel. Of course, Laugh. https://www.instagram.com/p/BQ8vrGDAtHF
