Justin Bieber evidently played Mumbai recently, and he left everyone less than enthused. As I was reading through some articles, Chris/CP was mentioned in most. Our boys/Chris left the best impression. Coldplay star Chris Martin set to become a judge on revived American Idol18:54, 13 MAY 2017UPDATED20:24, 13 MAY 2017Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is being lined up as a judge on pop talent show American Idol. Show bosses are keen to sign the singer up, say sources. Negotiations are said to be in full swing and it is hoped Chris will be confirmed over the coming weeks. A source said: “ABC bosses were keen to get Chris on board as soon as the new series was given the green light. "Chris is a great performer and they think he would make the perfect judge. Simon Cowell is said to be a big fan of Chris. “He’s had some massive hits and his music is known universally so would bring some credibility.” Chris, 40, is no stranger to talent shows. He has performed on The X Factor twice with Coldplay, at the finals in 2011 and 2015. He said it gave the band a platform to perform that other shows wouldn’t offer. American Idol is being revived by ABC after its original broadcaster Fox axed it last year after 15 years. I have to temper my desire to see him on a normal basis with not wanting him to do those kinds of shows. The stories are all over the place about this possibility, but I just can't see how he would work it out because it requires a lot of time, and he's all over the place all of the time. I guess time will tell.
