Just got a tweet that Chris will be a guest star on Modern Family on 11/29/17. And not just a quick cameo. Yes! We've posted a pic about this before here, but there wasn't any other information, but now we have a date and some more info! I adore this show so much, so to have him on it will be fab! I love the line that says it will be more than a mere cameo. According to Contact Music, "....the 40-year-old musician will be playing himself, but sources insist the appearance isn't a mere cameo, as they claim he'll have a fairly ''beefy'' role."  Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is to guest-star as himself in hit comedy series Modern Family. US entertainment trade publication The Hollywood Reporter says Martin has already filmed his scenes for the episode, which will feature a number of A-lister appearances and is entitled Brushes with Celebrity. The episode, in which the Dunphy family recall their encounters with famous people, sees dad Phil (Ty Burrell) reliving the time he was trying to sell Martin a house, while also having a "health issue". Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Martin's role in the episode is more than just a cameo appearance. It will screen in the US on November 29.
