It's SO SO annoying and frustrating and HEARTBREAKING that this keeps on happening. The real fans miss out time and time again because the freaking SHARKS steal them all. :( I was just looking on Stub hub and Viagogo, and guess what they have tickets.. IN the front, for RIDICULOUS prices! I mean thousands of pounds! Who the hell can afford that?
they sell out in seconds and all us real fans, the ones that buy the records, listen to the music and think about, support and love this band miss out. It should be illegal!

Plus it seems when I went to Viva I saw people looking on their phones and talking to each other instead of watching the show. If you paid for tickets, watch the dang show!

It really is awful. I feel for you guys. I'm sure they must be able to do something to make it harder for these 'people' to be able to buy huge amounts of tickets. Wasn't there a petition that coldplay signed to make the re-selling of tickets for a profit illegal or something? I'm so sorry you didn't get the tickets you wanted :( ...

The general sale is this upcoming Friday, right? If anyone wants, I can help to get some tickets. Just let know tickets for which gig and type of tickets...

Yeah I think they're sold out already. How do presales work? Do they only release a very, very limited number of tickets? Yes they release a limited number of tickets, usually in selected sections, not all. It varies how many, the U2 fan presale released quite a lot and good ones too but I've also seen presales with very few tickets. That's how it works here at least and surely they leave most tickets for the general sale. I've been trying and retrying. I keep getting tickets that aren't what I want, or I don't know what the view is. Last time it said, benches with no backs. That can't be good, right? At least I have options with the KROQ pre sale, I feel like I'm at peace with not going if nothing I really like comes up. Actually, at my last Coldplay show there were only benches with no backs. I have a bad back so I was really worried but it was no problem. People around were great and didn't mind some standing, jumping and dancing. It helps if you can move a bit, sitting still for hours with no back support wouldn't have been so nice. And the view was excellent so that helped too I also felt at peace with not going if I didn't get a ticket, glad you do too! It's awful with the ticket sales and scalpers! Really, there must be some way to fix it Fingers crossed now for the next sale.

I hate to say it, but benches would not worry me. I'm afraid I get quite upset and can't abide people who go to gigs and tell you off for standing up! It's a concert! Go watch on TV if you want to sit down. I appreciate that there are some people who have problems and can't stand, but to get irate if someone else does is (to me anyway) just not on. I'm sorry if I upset anyone saying that. But I WILL tell people behind me that I am standing before hand, they at least then know. But I won't sit down, that would ruin the gig for me.

Thank you Row! I've been told off so many times for standing up :( It ruined a show with my then favourite band, still tearing up thinking about it. I was just so shocked people expected me to sit down the WHOLE time, at a rock concert! Now I also try to talk to them before. I'm so short anyway, they can still see over my head lol.
Sorry for off topic rant.

I tell people the minute I get there that I'm going to stand up, haha! Ask Row. That's the first thing I said to the people behind us in Chicago in 2012. So, of course I agree - stay at home!

Yep, I'm short too Carina, but when we were a the CP gig in the RAH London two years ago, we were three rows from the back and a woman in the very back row told us off for standing! My husband being a gentleman did sit. But I told her I was going to stand and if she didn't like it to leave! She didn't and said nothing else.. funnily enough once the show got going everyone ELSE stood up anyway so she had to!
I went to the O2 in December 2011 and took my son with me, it was his first gig and we were terribly far back and high up, I stood up, but nobody else in our ENTIRE section did! It was quite strange to be the only one standing! It did spoil it for me, because although I did stand, I felt slightly self-concious! There is no sense of community, of coming together, dancing, letting yourself go in that situation.. Although EVERYONE stood up once Viva started.. and the rest of the gig was fab!.. But it was close to the end by then! Ever since then I have made a real effort to be as close the front as I possibly can, in with the people who want to dance and sing and jump.
I just dont understand why you would choose to sit? OK, like I said if you have an injury or are disabled, you have no choice. But I think it shows disrespect to the band.
OK getting off my soapbox now.. :p

Too funny!
I have to admit that since Coldplay was my first concert in 2006, I did not know that people stood up. I thought everyone sat down nicely and watched the show!

Oh and I changed the title, thread is now for both dates. If you want separate threads we'll change it, just say I also did the same for the other cities with two or more shows EXCEPT London.
