Budweiser Made in America Festival will return to Philadelphia for its fifth season this Labor Day weekend with a star-studded lineup and a slew of festivities mixing food, technology and design. Curated by Jay Z, the musical lineup includes a Who's Who of acts which include: headliners Rihanna and Coldplay joined by ColleGrove (2 Chainz and Lil Wayne), Jamie xx, Chance The Rapper, Martin Garrix, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Grimes, DJ Khaled, Adventure Club, Madeon, Bryson Tiller, Gary Clark Jr, Travi$ Scott, DJ Mustard, SZA, A$AP Ferg and more. "Budweiser invests in fan experiences at music festivals because they have become more than just places to hear live music -- they are cultural moments where people expect to also experience their other passion points, like food, design, technology, and of course, ice cold Buds,” said Ricardo Marques, vice president on Budweiser in a statement to Billboard. “Budweiser Made in America will cap off an enormous season for Budweiser, during which we celebrated the most American summer of this generation. Returning to historical Philadelphia this Labor Day weekend will be the perfect send-off party.” The festival's Rocky, Liberty and Tidal stages will be live streamed entirely on Tidal. The show will benefit United Ways in Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey and Berks County, PA for educational and health initiatives. Beyonce and The Weekend served as last year's M.I.A. Fest headliners. Budweiser Made in America will take over Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, PA from Saturday, Sept. 3 to Sunday, Sept. 4. Tidal members can purchase tickets starting Wednesday (June 22) at 10 a.m. ET by logging into their accounts; tickets will be available for the general public on Monday, June 27 at 10 a.m. ET. www.billboard.com/articles/columns/music-festivals/7408985/budweiser-made-in-america-2016-lineup?utm_source=twitter

Oooh not sure if I like this. :( How come? If you don't mind my asking. Not questioning it, I'm just curious. I haven't even heard of the other acts, well Rihanna yes and one or two more.

I just posted a reply about this in the Twitter thread, but may as well post it here too!
I would LOVE to go to this, but wish I didn't have to sit through some of these people! And it did make me laugh a bit. Coldplay - made in America? haha! And some of these acts! DJ Mustard. Grits & Biscuits. Fat White Family. ShowMeTheBody. WatchTheDuck. Intoit.Over.it. hahaha!
Other than 2 Chainz, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne (and I'm not into them), I'm not sure what kind of music that most of these people play, and it seems a bit odd to add Coldplay just to the mix of the ones I do know.

I know, it's strange I thought they're all well known over there but if they're not it's a strange line up.

Yeah it's a strange line up. This music is really different than CP music, I'm just not sure this will be an enthusiastic crowd for CP? Just being overprotective I guess.

Bryson Tiller is good. But I agree Sharon. My initial reaction to Coldplay and Made In America made me laugh.

Mmm... not sure sitting through a day of rap music would appeal to me either.. even with CP at the top end. But it's really not an issue for me, living here LOL..

Made in America is a Jay-Z baby created to give some of these artists a chance to showcase their music on a big stage. It has always had a rock component to it with Pearl Jam headlining Sunday in the inaugural year. Kings of Leon, John Mayer, Nine Inch Nails, Imagine Dragons, have also performed there. Jay-Z & Chris' friendship seems to have endured regardless of what fans think about it. I have no doubt Coldplayers from that general area have stood all afternoon for a chance to see the band tonight. So glad there's a live feed for the rest of us. I've always forgotten to mention this. Tidal is the only online subscription I know of where my credit card was never charged after my 1 month trial. They sent me a notification the trial was over & a link to register for real. Very impressive!
