There is more info about the Coldplay video already. The channel NDR asked the fans after the recording. www.ndr.de/unterhaltung/Eiskalt-aber-schoen-Coldplay-Dreh-in-Hannover,coldplay712.html {Spoiler} As you know, the video was filmed for Everglow. For the video shoot, the hall was darkened with black curtains. In the video, you will see a forest in winter. There is a figure skating couple and they are skating along the trees. The male partner is wearing some green outfit, looking like a frog and there is also going to be some kind of dreamy sequence. The audience enlighted a lot of sparklers while the figure skaters were performing. Each supernumerary got a T-Shirt with the words "COLDPLAY" on the front an "Everglow" on the back.

Yes, it's out now anyway.
A lot of people were angry...the way they handled it was really not good. And it took about 7 hours.

Looking for you in the picture, Jelena!Coldplay react to Istanbul attacks, Brexit, and shoot a new video in GermanyDuring a Berlin concert held after the terrorist attacks in Istanbul, Coldplay singer Chris Martin paid tribute to the victims and commented on Brexit. The band is now filming a new video in Hanover - and it sparkles. The British band Coldplay, currently on a world tour, was in concert in Berlin on Wednesday (29.06.2016) - a day after the triple suicide bombings at Istanbul's international airport that left at least 42 people dead. Singer Chris Martin showed his solidarity with the victims of the attacks by placing a Turkish flag on his piano during the song "Everglow." He also reacted to the Brexit referendum, thanking the crowd that so many people came to see a British concert. "It hasn't been an easy week," he added. Despite the tragic mood of recent events, the band focused on creating a rainbow-filled atmosphere throughout its two-hour concert. Coldplay also decided to film its newest video in Germany. The "Eisstadion" (Ice Stadium) arena in Hanover was selected as a location for its particular atmosphere. Some 1,200 extras were invited to take part in the shoot, scheduled to start at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday (30.06.2016). To avoid images leaking out, cell phones and bags were not allowed in the hall during the shoot. To create the video's festive atmosphere, the extras were given numerous sparklers. Fans hoping to see the members of the band were however disappointed, as the musician's part of the shoot was scheduled separately for security reasons. The band will be playing in Hamburg on Friday. link

We managed to avoid the press and television (I hope) We had driven straight from the Berlin concert to the video shoot as we did not book a room,in Berlin for an hour sleep max. So we were not looking our best...
As everything seems to be out on the internet now anyway I think I can write this:
I can understand that the band was not there and half expected that. But the handling of it was all wrong - probably not Coldplay management's fault but still dissappointing. They could have turned this into a memorable fun experience for us but instead it was a taxing, boring, freezing and hungry 6 1/2 hours.
We actually dozed off at some point - afterwards we felt better. ;-)
The guy on the mike was nice but the wrong man for the job. Information and communication with us was minimal, half the time his announcements were not understandable anyway because of bad sound. I would have whished for somebody who had motivated us - like the security lady in Wembley who made us sing Coldplay songs. We could have had fun... A lot of people left after about 4 hours when it became clear that neither the band nor the promised food would materialize but we decided to stick it out, hell, we are Coldplayers! ;-).
I just whish the boys would be aware what we went through for them...

Wow that sounds very badly planned. I am sorry you were hungry and tired! I think this is the sort of thing that the band should be told about. Well done for your fortitude. I hope your back is feeling better now too.

I hope your back is feeling better now too. Yes, I do not think they were aware of all that...I actually thought about writing them (i.e. Debs) but it's now a week ago and I have lost my impetus...but may still do. Not to complain but just to make them aware of what happened. Just sleeping in my own bed made my back alright again. But I only realized how bad it had when we were queueing for Berlin and I actually could MOVE! I had gotten so used to that pain!
