Great find guys!
Dark and mysterious would be amazing! As long as the sound is like that and the take away message is of hope or love. I can picture them doing that.

My only fear is that a darker and more toned down album may take away from the atmosphere that the MX live shows had.

My only fear is that a darker and more toned down album may take away from the atmosphere that the MX live shows had. Maybe the xylobands alone will recreate that colorful atmosphere?

Has anybody recently checked those sites which artists register new songs on? I know from reading the old threads on Coldplaying that that's how a few names of MX songs were discovered.

My only fear is that a darker and more toned down album may take away from the atmosphere that the MX live shows had. I wouldnt worry, I was privileged to see them on the twisted logic tour in 2005 and didnt know what to expect. I loved them but they had the reputation of being 'miserable' but although they didnt have all the 'smoke and mirrors' the show was fantastic and chris was warm and funny and I've been transfixed ever since Any coldplay gig will be a good one!!!

I 100% agree! I didn't see them on X&Y (sadly) but I have seen them acoustic at the Little Noises and at the Christmas gig in London last year, which wasn't colourful in the MX sense, and they are terrific live, they do not need the 'Smoke and Mirrors'. NEVER EVER fear on that score! They can make ANY gig magical. (did you see what I did there?)

Oh I loved Chicago! I visited in 2012. SUCH a lovely city. Lots of happy memories of that trip.

On the Ascap website I searched Coldplay. I've never heard the song, "All Good Things Come To An End".
edit: Never mind, must have been a Collab. Never heard of Drift before though.

If you want to look for new coldplay songs on the ASCAP, the Work ID should start with 88.. i guess bc atlas starts with it and every song from MX does.
