This is the tracklist of Ghost Stories, according to iTunes: 1. Always In My Head 2. Magic 3. Ink 4. True Love 5. Midnight 6. Another's Arms 7. Oceans 8. A Sky Full of Stars 9. O So which ones are gonna be the new classics? I hope most of these songs aren't Chris talking about how much he loves some girl, like Magic. By the way, NO COLOR SONG DEAL WITH IT PEOPLE!!! Many songs of Coldplay are about love. Magic, Midnight, Another's Arms and A Sky Full of Stars are their singles. I think those songs will be the hits. |

So, I went to preorder the album on Amazon and you can buy each individual song. Magic available March 3. Midnight available March 17. Another's Arms available April 28. A Sky Full Of Stars available May 12. Also, it just hit me that this is the first Coldplay album title that's not a song on the album title. Is this legitimate? I have no idea if these will be the singles (or if they actually be out on these dates). But this is what Amazon is saying. However, it does seem weird to release four singles pre-album. |

I like how Midnight is sitting in the middle of the album. It could be used as a 'progession' in sounds maybe between 2 halves of the album. Also that 9 songs opens the door to each being 5mins long, allowing them to build at atmosphere around each track (a bit like Reflektor did)

Any chance at least 1 of those 3 target exclusives could be a remix?
In any case I have preordered off amazon. I'm pretty sure this will only be a limited time Target exclusive and eventually all the songs will be on iTunes and other stores. Coldplay defecting from under Apple's umbrella is a bit odd still.
SO how many of these tracks do we think we will hear in a week's time? A WEEK!

Track 9 is O. Do you think that's a reference to Chris' tattoo? Aww... good point. Is it an O, though? I can't really find anything. Do you mean his tattoo or the song?! I'm sure he has an O on his hand. Can't post pics from my phone, but will find it later! |

Now I hope they do not release any songs until we have the complete album in our hands. I want to hear Ghost Stories and be surprised with the others songs. Having Midnight and Magic is good enough for me, and the album release is not to far away. I hope they do not play the others songs in the Itunes Festival like they done with MX.

In a way I am glad that we didn't hear much of anything about the album until today. In the past we knew so much during production including many song titles. With Ghost stories it was all kept so secret and now we don't have to worry about everyone asking "hey... where did such and such song go!" or "such and such song sounded so cool in that r42 post... how could they have left it off?" We only know of what we got which for obsessive fans like me might be a good thing!

Agreed, I liked the secrecy, and it does give the obsessed a bit less to obsess about, and we did enough of that anyway! I loved the anticipation and surprise. The Midnight release was like someone I really liked, whom I haven't seen in a long time, suddenly walking in the door.....except on a much more obsessive and happier level.  The drawings and markings on his lyrics are so adorable!!! |

The album artwork is the best thing I love it I think it may be the best one yet, or at least rivalling MX
Magic is such an amazing song, not so electronic but you can hear those influences as well
Just excuse while I go and sit in a corner and die while listening to Magic on repeat.
