I see on Twitter that fans happen upon Chris outside the stadium and he is taking photos with them. How is this possible!! The man is a god!

How maddening!
I play different scenarios in my mind, what would happen if I ran into Chris before a show is one of them.

What time are these people arriving, I wonder? Are they VIPS? There was an article somewhere, I forgot now, that said if you want to be in the introduction video at start of concert you need to arrive really early in afternoon by the back entrance I believe. Well the young girl that posted a picture of meeting Chris says he invited her backstage. She posted a picture of her with the American flag Chris uses. I watched a periscope of the concert and she was one of the people introducing Coldplay. I can never get to a venue that early as we drive to the city the same day of concert. By the time we can check into the hotel after all those hours in car .I take a shower and get ready for the concert! Not that I want to be on the introduction but I sure as hell want to be one of the lucky ones to see Chris before the show!!! Now I read that there is underground parking for the buses that bus in the basketball players venue in Cleveland so that's out anyway for me as the band will most likely go in that way! I wonder if the band will go to the Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum there. How I wish I could go up today and have more time!

That makes sense, I saw that article too, I think Coldplaying posted it. Whoever does their posting is very on top of it. Backstage too! That girl better know what luck she has had!

Thanks Jackie. I am not sure about the before show thing.. maybe in the USA that is how they do it. But I've been at venues here and in Holland before dawn, and nothing like that happens there. I always wondered how they get into those videos. It's not something I would really want to do.. but yes please backstage! LOL..

Well, I've been back for a day and a half, but I've been bouncing from one thing to another since I flew in Saturday evening, so I'm finally sitting down now to give an update. Chicago was great - a beautiful and clean city. It gets a bad rep in the outlying areas sometimes, but in the city, it's always been wonderful, and the people have always been very nice. The weather was great except for the drizzle that started during the concert, of all times, but thankfully, it lasted only about 4 minutes then left us alone! We finally got to Chicago around 8 p.m. Wednesday after several plane delays (happens every time I fly into O'Hare) and did a bit of sightseeing on Thursday morning, including scoping out the stadium. I found the place where I knew they would come into the stadium, even took pictures of it. You never know what time people will show up or even whether they'll do a soundcheck that evening, but as it turns out (and as I'm sure you remember from my painful posts), I should have left the aquarium 10 minutes earlier than I did because I'd just missed him. This has also happened to me before, and it kills me every single time, and I have to not think about it, so moving on! The concert was DYNAMITE, as usual, Chris was very energetic, the crowd was very loud, confetti was stuck all over my body, the people around me were into it (except for the lady next to me who asked me for several songs if it was the last song, and when I said it was when Up & Up came on, she motioned for her group to leave. Blasphemy), and it was a high-energy, electric experience. And yes, this time I got my balloon! Actually, I could have ended up with a few because once the guy next to me realized I wanted one, he kept catching them and giving them to me, so I had a few, haha! We did go to the back and wait around after the show, but security told us they'd left. Now, I've been told that before, and it turned out to be false, but I made him cross his heart and swear on his life, his wife's life and the threat of me taking his next born child, and he took the oath, so after a while, we walked on (through the mostly-cleared-out mile-long path back to the hotel.) We stayed the next day for sightseeing in Chicago (and reliving fun memories I had when, after talking for a while, Row and I decided to meet face to face there 5 years ago) and flew back late afternoon/early evening on Saturday. And here I am, sad that my CP shows are over. Such a mix of elation of being able to go and sadness that it's over. They truly are, as Cathy said, the kings of mood.
