Well done finding out that they performed for target at all, Keaton. Are they doing secret gigs and small shows in order to prevent meeting their fans? LOL To be honest, I am a bit frightened of how commercial they have become. I mean... wasn't the plan to stay away from adverts and promotional performances for companies in the past? Don't sell your souls, Coldplay...

This was an annual "Target Employees" event, at which various stars perform, not an entire "Coldplay" show. In USA, it was through Target that fans got the "additional 3 songs" on the Ghost Stories album, so I'm thinking this was all part of that deal. Don't be too hard on 'em, the music industry is brutal these days, what with free-streaming, etc. Probably a good way for them to warm up for the IHeartRadio gig!

Universal Music Berlin had something similar in Berlin yesterday. But no way they would invite someone as big as Coldplay. They had some German comedians and musicians, but half of them cannot even be called celebrities Coldplay must have been really desperate lately. They seem to need money

Incredible. They said that they didn't want to do a big tour this time and I understand why, but they skipped entire CONTINETS. Look at the crowd during ASFOS, 90% of them isn't moving, they're just standing still. These people get to see them but millions of fans didn't. I know it has probably to do with a bunch of contracts they signed but they just keep disappointing me lately. I hope they ddin't consider this a good show

Sigh.. I do kind of agree with you Hannah. Look at the crown during Paradise.. it's like they are rooted to the spot. Millions of people have missed out this time.. but not Target employees.. who don't even appear to appreciate it. :( Edit: thanks for finding the clips Carina. You are SO good at this! Edit 2: I missed seeing Yellow this tour.

Maybe they performed one song for every person who enjoyed their appearance?

I don't know... I understand it's part of a deal, the industry etc but still. I wonder if it's what they want. It's easier being a fan of small bands, before they have to make decisions like these

Some get Coldplay for free and don't care about it or are even annoyed by the fact and then there are fans living in South America who couldn't see them for years. There wasn't even one Ghost Stories concert... :( It's their business and they decide where they want to perform, but I would have set other priorities.
