Coldplay, Manics, Mumford & Sons, Franz Ferdinand and more donate memorabilia to auction for Delays frontman
An auction packed full of music memorabilia from some of the UK’s biggest rock acts has been set up to raise money for Delays frontman Greg Gilbert.
The singer and guitarist has been diagnosed with bowel cancer and friends, family and fans are raising money for his treatment.
Greg is genetically incompatible with the only free immunotherapy drug available on the NHS. There are other drugs that would match his gene profile, most notably Avastin for advanced bowel cancers, but it is currently not funded by the NHS.
Through extensive research and correspondence with specialist clinics in the UK and abroad, Greg’s family have discovered new and groundbreaking treatments. These are targeted treatments such as stereotactic radiotherapy, microwave ablation and personalised immunotherapy. These have had astounding results on others that share the same prognosis as the musician.
There’s a GoFundMe page, a charity concert and a campaign to get the Delays’ song ‘Valentine’ to no.1 on Valentine’s Day.
And now you can help by bidding on a variety of rare, signed and interesting memorabilia from the likes of Coldplay, The Manic Street Preachers, Mumford & Sons, Oasis, Franz Ferdinand, British Sea Power, Craig David, Laura Marling, Scouting For Girls and more.
The auction includes signed CDs, records, guitars, drum kits, t-shirts and posters from big names in music as well as a day's recording session at Premise Recording Studio.
Check out all of the memorabilia on offer at Ewbank Auctions.
