Hey.. New thread. A place to put what is happening in your day, has happened in your week, and where you just want to hang out. So.. HAPPY SUNDAY all of you. We have a 'bank holiday weekend' here in the UK, which means we get Monday off as well, which is nice. The weather could be better, it's cold and damp. But hey we are just making Chris feel at home.  seeing as he is home in England for a bit.  T Today I am not doing a lot. We went to see a band at a pub last night. The band Andy used to roadie for many many years ago. We used to go and see them a LOT in our 20's. They are all in their late 50's and 60's now. The lead singer/bass player has FIVE grandchildren! LOL.. But they are still really good and we had a fun time. Apart from our 'friend' we gave a lift to. She told us she was going out for a cigarette, and half an hour later she wasn't back! bear in mind it's night time in a remote place and she was outside on her own! Andy went to look for her and she wasn't there! Worried I went outside (missing the gig) to call her.. and found her on a bench in the dark, smoking and reading her phone! Seriously! We're at a gig and she is outside.. argh.. she then came back inside with me. (I don't truly think it was her kind of music, they are quite heavy rock), but she could have told us! Anyway she was fine. But I could have done without that.  But the gig was awesome  a couple of really bad photos. The pub lit the audience NOT the band LOL!   |

Good morning! First of all, my last week and the next two will be finishing up the school year, and it's always the hardest of the whole year, so it should be wonderful (because it's coming to a close), chaotic (because it's testing and crunch time) and irritating as hell all rolled into one. It's also been birthday time (for many - April is whacky), working on the lake house time, planning Memorial Day/graduation/birthday celebration at the end of the month time, helping fix up the new grandbaby's room time along with many other 'times', but it's all good. Once school is out, a few of us will fly out to Florida for a long weekend and one day after we come back will be the big aforementioned Memorial Day/Graduation/Birthday for my granddaughter (can you believe she'll be 3 already?) extravaganza. Better also work on getting that pool up and going! Then a week later, beach time! I also wanted to post here what Row MADE and sent to me for my birthday. Get ready to be blown away! The effort and time and love that went into this present blows my mind every time I look at 'him.' Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the newly-released Chris doll!! It came in it's own, hand-created box....   My mind was blown when I opened the box to see my new Chris doll....  The man himself, created from scratch....  Look at those details!....    But no, wait! He also came with a hand-made mic stand....  And wait, WHAT?! A guitar printed by Row's husband on his 3d printer....  Look at the details she put on the guitar....  I couldn't help but pose him in 'Chris' poses....  Can you believe that? My mind is still blown with the artistic talent and effort put into this, and I'm so grateful!! [Post your praises here now] |

Let me say that I love the doll and am blown away by the attention to detail. As a non-crafty person, I sure do admire those with that gift. :-)

Hey everyone! I've been here lurking in the background but have had so much going on with the end of the school year that I've had to give up some of my guilty pleasures for a bit. Now the semester is over and I've had a few days to have some fun. Right after graduation my husband and I went to Universal Studios in Florida for a much needed kid-free excursion. Who knew theme parks were so much fun without kids!? LOL! We had the best time. On our way back we went to another Hozier concert in South Carolina. That's our second time seeing him since March. Since he still has many tour dates left (some in the UK), I just have to extoll his virtues once again. I'm afraid I've been cheating on Chris a bit, ha! If you can catch one of his concerts, I highly recommend it. He's the only musician that I've ever come across to even sort of rival my Coldplay obsession. This man is smart, genuine, thoughtful, talented, kind, and handsome in a non-traditional sort of way...sound like anyone else we know?! ;-) He typically pops out after the shows to visit fans. I waited about an hour to get my concert poster signed and meet with him. He was warm and kind and seemed genuinely glad to meet with fans. I'm posting one picture from the show and then me meeting him after.    So that's the start to my summer. I have a few work trips I have to take this summer which will allow me to visit a few new places on the map. I hope everyone is doing well! |

BTS LOL... seen them just a couple of times maybe on SNL or on an award show. They do have that "x factor" and they're fun to watch. And man those girls scream when they take the stage LOL. I've been listening to a lot of Arctic Monkeys. Late to the party on that one but trying to catch up a bit LOL. I love their new album. No one else seems to like it much but I do so who cares what everyone else thinks! Coldplayers are independent thinkers right!  |

And they asked BTS who they wanted to work with and they said they've loved CP for years and saw them in Korea when they were there and mentioned Chris by name. Uh huh, smart guys.
