With LP6 coming up, I was wondering how many albums/tours will Coldplay do before calling it quits? I hope there around for a really long time but who knows. Tell me what you think.

Remember after Mylo was released, Chris said he was fired up about the band's future. I don't think they'll call it quit for another 10 years at least!

I can easily see their career and friendships lasting in the same way that U2's has. Granted, I hope that they have more success in their later career than U2 has had recently!

I think as long as they can find inspiration, they'll keep doing what they do. I can see the "album every 3 years" approach continuing for another 2 or 3 albums, but I think they might slow it down a bit after that. I would expect them to shorten the tours also maybe even starting with this album and limit how much time they spend on the road (they've got families too). I hope that they continue making music for a long, long time though.

About one week ago I would have said "I hope not anymore!" but GS sounds like a good one, as long as they make good albums I hope!

I share the feeling that this will be their last LP. It´s the sound of the two tracks from Ghost Stories that we already know. To me, everything sounds a bit compulsive like they are not really standing behind the songs they composed or as if they don´t know how to go on. I hope they prove me wrong I am still longing for another acoustic album (maybe in the style of Parachutes) just as promised for LP 5 and I hope that they will go back to their roots one day.
