I think it will leak but I personally won't be listening if it does. I think that the period of time between the first rumour and the a,bum release is just as good if not better as hearing the album itself, and I want to make it last as long as possible!

I know before Mylo came out, Coldplay released some youtube videos with like 15 second samples of each song. I hope they do that with this album sometime in April. That way we get a general feel for all the songs and adds to the hype.

I'm sure it will leak after the 10th of may, a week or so before the official release, as most albums do... When Viva leaked i remember that there were people who refused to listen to the leak and who preferred to wait until the official release, i remember thinking that they were nuts, i was scanning the messageboard all day to check for leaks and i also remember thinking that they had to have a lot of willpower to refrain themselves from listening to a new Coldplay record the second it became available but i kind of get it now (i guess it's a maturity issue) and i want to wait until the 19th to listen to it in it's entirety, i really hope they don't play any new songs (besides Magic which i'm certain they will play) so we don't end up listening to 4 or 5 of the 9 songs prior to the album's release...

MX leaked the week before release and I have to say I wasn't patient.  But I did also buy it on Download, on CD and on Vinyl. So I don't feel too guilty! LOL. However I WILL wait for this one. I got the Record Store email too. I definitely want the vinyl of this. Anyone think it will be another 'pop up' or something similar? |
