As said above, prayers for your friend, Raphaele, and for everyone suffering. It's when you hear people tell their stories it really starts to sink in on another level. I read an excerpt from an interview with members from the band that played at Bataclan, how they saw people trying to protect their friends, stepping in front of them. It's so hard to read, but I want to hear the stories from those who can and want to talk about it. And I'm thankful for being angry too, not just afraid. It is so extremely, extremely hard to read, it makes me feel nauseous with sadness reading that. But yes, yes we have to read. The same way we have to read stories of the Haulocaust, even though we don't want to, so that we stay aware and nothing like that happens again. Because you can't fight evil by turning a blind eye. You have to face it. Even though it is so, so hard. |

The area I live in is a the highest level of security, they have announced that soldiers would wandering near schools. I've watched yewferday's tidal event and for 53 minutes I felt safe. All schools and universities in Brussels are closed tomorrow, no metros, no events (like concerts) because they're on terror alert 4... So weird. I'm supposed to go to a concert in Brussels on Thursday so I hope the situation will be better by then :( We must have faith that your government and your military are keeping you safe. There's no other way to believe. |

I've read through the last few pages. I'm sorry about everything that's happening Raphaele, and everyone else that feels unsafe and confused.
I think the one thing we can do is listen to each other, without excluding anyone. Sounds simple, and it doesn't help the situation right now, but it's important. As long as governments are using violence to solve problems we're sending the wrong message. Not just to terrorists, but to our own kids.
Anyway. I wish everyone strength and support and safety.
