I'm in mourning, I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. This is unreal.

Absolutely stunned, how can this happen ??? I kept getting a bad feeling that he might get in but I was hoping upon hope that the American people would do the right thing
First Brexit and now this, it feels like the world stopped on its axis and is going backwards, it is going to be an 'interesting' time ahead of us all

Grieving here too for all humanity. Comforting hugs to all of you! We must stand strong and unite together now more than ever against Hate and Evil. I will never consider him "my President".

He will not be my president either. I will not listen to any speech he gives.

What a sad day it is for all of us. I really hope that the Democrats in Congress will be able to push back on some of the retarding legislation that they propose. This resembles Brexit so well... Did you guys hear about the Canadian Immigration website crashing last night? It's still down, by the way. Funny, I know.

It's funny, but it's so out of reach for soooo many people. I feel if you're poor, gay, a different color other than white, you will be targeted under a Trump administration, and there is obviously no financial way you can move to Canada. So to me saying you'll move to Canada isn't even a funny option.

I'm especially worried that the issue of climate change won't be addressed any time soon. Saddens me deeply. Reminds me of Twisted Logic lyrics: "You'll go forward again, you'll go backward again."

That's exactly the way I feel as an outstander. It feels like this is goong back in time. In the Netherlands we have a same kind of loonatick as Trump. He is so pleased with Trump as president, because it looks like there are more people for individuality and not a togheter we are strong.
And he also gets a lot of votes. Luckily for us, we have more parties and it is harder to get that much votes to make it an absolute winner and no one wants to rule the country with him.
Now we are a few hours on the way, I become even more worried about this individuality people seems to vote for. Someone like Trump or "our Wilders" could ruin all the hard work done in the past 50 years or even longer....

During the last elections he had the most votes. But we have a different system. We have more parties. So they always have to make a coallition. And no one wanted to rule with him. So two other parties are ruling together. But he is doing very well in the polls. We have our elections in March. I think we will get a same kind of situation like the past four years.
He is yelling the same kind of stuff as Trump, only not against women. He is more picking on coloured people.
I can't understand people are voting on people like that. Yes, there are problems. But how can you think that cutting out this minorities will solve the problems. You will create hate and before you we will have a repeat of WWII....
The only way to make the world a better place is to stand together and respect and love each other.

I'm having a very hard time with this outcome and could barely sit at work with people that I know voted for Trump. It was seriously affecting my work today. ALSO, the fact that the Republicans now control the House, the Senate AND the Presidency is, wow, unsettling isn't even close to being strong enough. Our checks and balances system is so out of whack that I mourn what we've lost. ALSO, the climate is a huge thing to us, and I'm mortified that it will be cast aside like trash. ALSO, I'm worried about deregulating large companies so they can operate any way they want and forgetting small businesses (both of which would kill my husband's company.) ALSO, individual's rights are in dire peril. I could ALSO myself to death, there are so many things to worry about.
The biggest travesty is that she actually won the popular vote, but she didn't win because of our electoral college system. What in the hell is wrong with this picture?! We are definitely a country divided. I'm so upset that it's going to take a long time to sink in.
