I'm having a very hard time with this outcome and could barely sit at work with people that I know voted for Trump. It was seriously affecting my work today. ALSO, the fact that the Republicans now control the House, the Senate AND the Presidency is, wow, unsettling isn't even close to being strong enough. Our checks and balances system is so out of whack that I mourn what we've lost. ALSO, the climate is a huge thing to us, and I'm mortified that it will be cast aside like trash. ALSO, I'm worried about deregulating large companies so they can operate any way they want and forgetting small businesses (both of which would kill my husband's company.) ALSO, individual's rights are in dire peril. I could ALSO myself to death, there are so many things to worry about. The biggest travesty is that she actually won the popular vote, but she didn't win because of our electoral college system. What in the hell is wrong with this picture?! We are definitely a country divided. I'm so upset that it's going to take a long time to sink in. I woke up this morning feeling sick to my stomach, and still this evening feel every bit as sick. I had the day off work today, and I don't know how to go back to work tomorrow and go on with normal life. I don't feel like I belong to this country any more. I am a Global Citizen, but I no longer feel like an American. |

I know the feeling Leann! We are all grieving. None of us feel like this is our country anymore. I had to be strong last night to comfort my kids who one was sobbing uncontrollably and another who had an anxiety attack. But today I fell apart glad in a way I also didn"t work. Its very depressing. I just want to shout to people as I did errands "Hes not my president"!!!!!!

Okay guys. Democrats may not have won, but as our POTUS said, "The sun will rise tomorrow morning". We can't quit when the going gets tough? Will it be hard? Maybe. Will it be torture and painful? Possibly. But we can't give up. If you believe in something then you will find a way to fight on. You're never out of the fight.

I had feared this outcome and it scares me to hell. And it will probably not much better at the next electionsn in Germany - the stupidity of people has no bounds :(

I have been having a media blackout because I can't stand to see it. I am having a very difficult time just sitting with and eating lunch with people that I know voted for Trump. It's a very strange feeling because this is not your normal election. I keep hoping upon hope upon hope that something will come up and this will all end up being good for us. But I feel almost victimized. I know that sounds extreme. I know that we don't have a choice and I am just crossing my fingers that we avoid things that I fear. I appreciate the pep talk words, Keaton, and one day I will have that fight and be out of this feeling of mourning. The positively is extremely appreciated.

I don't know anyone who voted for Trump. My immediate group that I hang out with at work are all Democrats, one even volunteered for Hillary. She said she was crying and depressed yesterday.
