Yes it does. I think we are all kind of into the royal family honestly, haha! Both of those babies are adorable.

I'm not sure if you guys have heard, but a news reporter and her cameraman were killed while filming a live segment this morning. This was actually the CBS affiliate station out of my viewing area. They had traveled to a lake about 45 minutes away to do a fluff tourism piece, and someone ambushed them.
The reporter, Alison, had recently turned 24 and had just moved in with a news anchor from the same station. The cameraman, Adam, was 27 and was engaged and almost ready to move with his fiance to another state where she had gotten a new job. His fiance was a producer at the same station and was the one tragically producing that particular segment this morning and watched it live. Today was her last day at the station before she started to plan their move. Unreal.
The man that shot them was a disgruntled former employee that felt he had a beef with the two over his job. The station manager said he was let go because he was a very unhappy man who was very difficult to work with. The killer sent a 23-page document to an ABC station somewhere outlining his grievances and called himself a human powder keg waiting to go boom. Shockingly, he videotaped himself killing the reporters and posted it to his facebook!! They chased him down, and he killed himself.
The cameraman Adam graduated from the same high school I went to, and I know several people that knew him. Ironically, he and Alison were supposed to come to my school next week to do a piece on school opening, football season, etc. They'd been to a few high schools already.
I don't want to get on a soapbox, and I don't want to start a debate, and I hate for people to think I live in some sort of wild west where people are shooting constantly because it's simply not like that, but I'm so over any gun sh** that I could scream from the mountaintops!! I have very, very strong feelings about this that I won't go into, but I just needed to vent over this incredibly senseless, heinous act of violence. So, so sad. These families are crushed, as you can imagine, at losing their children, the worst thing that can ever happen to a parent. I can't even wrap my brain around such a devastating thing. Please keep them in your thoughts.

It would certainly seem like the Wild West out here. I don't want to get into a debate either, but who would debate something like this, and say it's still okay for this many guns to be in this country? It's absurd. People are now getting shot in movie theaters, on news stories, at grade schools. When will it end?

It's a sad story and I feel sorry for the relatives who have to deal with the unneccessary death of their family member. Damn. They were so young!
Hmm.. that whole gun posession thing is one of the reasons why I haven't travelled to the United States (yet). I think I wouldn't feel comfortable in a place where everyone carries a gun. I would like to survive my holidays.

I don't know what the answer is. Look at that moron who recently killed 150 people crashing them into a mountain, no gun needed. I don't know if the answer is gun control, it just seems like there are way too many crazy people in the world lately and it has gotten completely out of control. Whatever the answer is, I'm willing to get behind it 100%, but I just don't know what we are going to do.

The world is a dangerous place no doubt. That's why we need to be the ones who will stand strong and help lead the world to a better future. No matter how hard and painful it may be. We have to..

It is a sad story and you do feel for their families, awful The sad truth is we are all shocked when one human being kills another deliberately without any feeling but it happens, has happened, and will sadly continue to happen over and over again Look at the terrible world wars, hundreds of thousands of people, for what? we were led to think it would be to make a better world to live in, but whether its an individual with a grudge, dear God!, or a terrorist group, it continues The only way to cope with it all is to try and see the good in people, there are plenty out there, to be nice to people in every day life and not let these freaks win
Sorry for the rant but these stories can really make you despair for the human race so we have to focus on the positives, the good must outweigh the evil and yes stand strong

I can't add something new anymore. I am sorry for what happened and the loss of the families and friends.
I am also suprised there are that many people can have a gun. But hey, I am at another continent with some different morals. It's hard to understand, but don't really want to discuss it.
Although it is really hard to get a gun in the Netherlands, 4 years ago a young man caused also a drama. He shot a lot of people in a shopping mall (those are small in the Netherlands, compared to the US). 6 of them didn't survived, nearly 20 wounded. This kid was a member of the shooting club. It was really shokking this could happen ib the Netherlands.
So, although we have a more stricktly policy about guns, it can always happen, because there are some morons out there. And like Leann said: who need a gun.

I read in an article that mass shootings here have TRIPLED over their previous average rate in just the last four years. Something is going wrong here. What is causing this? It can't just be access to guns, there has to be something else going on with it. I mean, access to guns hasn't suddenly tripled, has it? What else is happening? I think that lately we're doing a very poor job in this country of finding, diagnosing and treating people who are dangerously mentally ill. I don't know what is going on lately, but it is making me feel very, very sad for the future of our world.

Just heard news from Paris, several attacks, at least 40 people died and around 100 people in hostage....
No clue yet why...
I saw Raphaele was here an hour ago, so she must be okay. Hope her friends and relatives are too....
