I was just reading and hearing about this. It's so scary. Shots fired at multiple locations, including one cafe near the Stade de France, and explosions as well. They are also reporting hostages, so I have no idea what's going on just yet except that this is very scary.

it's crazy what has been happening in paris. (i'm from a country where at a time parents had to do volunteer security while we were at school because of terrorist attacks, so sadly, have been in similar situations) hope no other incidents are happening or on going in paris. read about a possible hostage situation. hope things are getting resolved.

It is really scary! I am always wondering if it could happen to my country. This is the second time (from this range) this year in Paris. The hostage is in a theatre, where Eagle of Death Metal from America played tonight. There are suposedly 100 people inside, 6 or 8 attackers.
There was a socces match in Stade de France. No one is allowed outside, so there are still 60.000 people in the Stade. I hope and think people will be safe there.
There is also a message of a fourth shooting, near Centre de Pompidou. No details yet

so the hostage situation is real? at a time like this, there is so much confusion, i'm not sure what's real and what's not. there is a twitter hashtag campaign going on right now trying to host strangers in paris looking for a safe place to spend the night. the thing is, whenever something unbelievably evil happens, the goodness of the human spirit comes through.

It seems like it is real, all the news stations here are mentioning. Only the numbers of people are different. One says hunderd and another one 60.
Yes, good things come from it, but it shouldn't be this way... :( this is really horrible. It frightens me...

Yes, there is ever-changing information, and I'm sure it will stay that way, as it usually does, for a while. I'm just so flabbergasted, sad, worried, pissed about all of this. Such heinous acts. I'm keeping all of our French friends in my thoughts. I hope Raphaele checks in again soon.

Well we know that they have an Incident Command Center set up. French soldiers probably being brought in for counter terrorism. Hostage negotiators probably trying their best. Such a huge loss of life. Hopefully when the french get a clear line of sight they take it. No room on earth for people like them..

According to CNN: "Several groups of police have burst into the Bataclan concert venue and a series of denotations have been heard from outside, a CNN producer said. A series of gunfire has been heard. Police have brought out at least 100 hostages, some appear to be wounded." They are also reporting that there are 28 (a very specific number) trapped in the concert hall.

A hostage situation at the Bataclan concert hall came to an end on Friday night when French police raided the building, according to French television.
The police killed at least two of the hostage-takers, who threw grenades at the police as they advanced.
