CNN is reporting a terrible number of people dead now. I'm hoping it will come down, but unfortunately, they are saying it will likely go up. I'm so sorry for and angry with the French people and their country. All of it is horrendous - the stadium, the restaurants and cafes, and that concert. Having young adults, the thought of all of the teenagers and young people in that concert hall just sickens me. It's hard to think about anything else.

What is going on in the world.....  The news this morning: 120 people died in a series of attacks. 200 injured (80 serious injured). In Bataclan the hostage is ended. The members of the rockband survived. There are no injuries IN the football stadium. A Dutch woman was just to book a table in one of the restaurants, but they had to wait for 15 minutes for a free table. So they went to a pub nearby to have a drink. Meanwhile the shooting began......... |

I think it's around 153 now, and I pray it doesn't climb any more. I am so very sorry that anyone was killed or hurt by any of these evil people, and it's especially hard to wrap my brain around the fact that it seems that a lot of it was centered around young people. After 9/11, there were a lot of stories like yours, Anita - little things keeping people from being places were heinous things happened. I'm glad they weren't hurt.

Thank God she is ok, awful awful news,it just makes me feel very sad
Also to come so soon after Armistice Day, those brave men who gave their lives to stop this sort of thing happening all these years later
I pray for those who have lost somebody, it just doesn't make any sense

Sending my condolences to our French neighbours. There is so much hate in the world that it is frightening. I hope that one day, education will conquer religious radicalism and terrorism...

I am reading through this thread whilst listening to the accoustic concert last night.
It's bringing me to tears. I have nothing to add, just sympathies and love to the French people. I wish that the world would be a a nicer place.

Just a nightmare, but it's real.
Too shocked to do anything else than watching the news on TV.
My cousin's boyfriend was at the Bataclan yesterday night.
No news from him...
