I'm so thankful for waking up with almost no pain. The last few weeks were a challenge for me and my back. And it's Monday! OK I'll calm down now.

I'm so glad for you Carina. I think you have every right to be ecstatic about that, so no calming down necessary!

Sorry this is a sad one My friend lost her 25 yr old son 3yrs ago today, I used to feel sad because its my eldest daughters birthday tomorrow and because she lives abroad I haven't shared it with her for 6years But 3yrs ago my whole attitude changed and I am so grateful that even if I cant physically hold her and wish her Happy Birthday I know she is alive and well and I can talk to her Never never take anything for granted and even when your kids or loved ones drive you absolutely mad just take a minute to be thankful that you still have them xx

Yesterday was Father's Day here in the States, and even though I lost my father to a heart attack some 17 years ago, I'm grateful for the fact that I had him in my life as long as I did. He was a hard working, good man who wanted nothing more than to be able to provide for his family, which he did amazingly well.
And currently, I want to thank my husband for being the best father that I have ever seen. Loving toward his children, never one to stop hugging and kissing his boys, hard working, dedicated to his family, unbelievably charitable, involved beyond words...a real Renaissance man. He has his priorities and values in the right place, and I could not be more proud or honored to raise children with this man. My kids are lucky indeed.
So, I'm thankful for that today!!

Very nice words and it's great that you do have great memories of your father. And a great family too! Here's to many additional years to you and your family. Thanks for sharing.

Wise words Sharon, I lost my dad 15 years ago and he was a kind gentle man, I'm so thankful my girls got to know him and have good memories, it was fathers day here too and I always think about him
Funny memory..my dad was a builder/decorator, he never really swore at home,if he did it was very mild one time my hub was working with him and was telling me about an incident that happened which involved some choice words from my dad....I was shocked and said 'my dad wouldn't swear like that' my hub just laughed and said 'your dad was in the Military Police he uses words Ive never even heard of' lol

LOL! My kids might say the same thing if I let out some curse words actually because even though I can let a few fly for sure, I can't say that I've said anything much around them. What parents can hide! haha!
