Before I dropped sewing at GCSE (I'm now in year ten, our school move up a term early and I'm an august baby ) the teacher would usually come over to my work and cut the seam with a pair of scissors or rip it apart without even saying anything… I was very bad at sewing!  |

LOL.. Oh god Amelia.. haha.. the terrible ordeals of sewing We had to make a 'School Skirt' as our first project in our first year at secondary school (high school) and it took me all year! LOL! I hated the damn thing when I finally finished it! It was made from about 7 or 8 triangular panels.. all having to be hemmed on a sewing machine in a massively straight line.. Hence the having to unpick for what seemed years! I CAN sew now. I just rarely choose to if I can avoid it.  |

I had to make a pair of shorts and I kept sewing up the waist so you couldn't actually wear them! I did this about five times in one lesson… I didn't sleep the night before that lesson. By the end I was just so done with it that I eventually just threw them in the bin. I considered a ceremonial burning Fortunately I don't have to do it anymore, though. |
